He said: “Focus on eating foods which help stabilise insulin and blood sugar such as whole-grain bread and plain Greek yoghurt. Eggs are also beneficial for regulating blood sugar levels for people with diabetes because they are high in protein.
“This not only slows digestion; it also slows glucose absorption.” With this advice, why not try a vegetable omelette or eggs on whole-grain toast for breakfast?
But remember, what you avoid is just as important as what you consume, reports the Express. Kanani advised: “It’s best to stay away from sweetened drinks for breakfast. Instead drink herbal teas, unsweetened tea or coffee and water.”
