Influencer Kelsey Parker revealed the beautiful gift she was given in memory of her baby boy, Phoenix, who was sadly born still earlier this year
Kelsey Parker has revealed a heartwarming gift she received in memory of her stillborn baby, Phoenix, and how it makes her feel like “a part of him is still here”.
The influencer is also the widow of the Wanted singer Tom Parker, who died of glioblastoma in 2022, aged 33. Kelsey suffered further heartbreak this June when her baby son, the first child she was having with boyfriend Will Lindsay, was stillborn.
Now, she has revealed that Will’s godmother gifted her a beautiful piece of art, depicting a Phoenix, which is what Kelsey and Will called their son. Kelsey has spoken about how she found “such comfort” in the gift.
Taking to Instagram, she said: “After our sweet Phoenix passed, Will’s godmother Teresa gave us the most magical gift, a painting for our baby boy, so we can always hold him close in our hearts. I find such comfort in standing in front of it, as if a part of him is still here with us.
“Though our little one cannot come back, he was with us for nine beautiful months. He lived in us, he grew with us, and he will always be a part of us. He was, and forever will be, our Phoenix.”
In June, Kelsey announced the tragic news about her child on Instagram. Phoenix, who would have been her third child after Aurelia, five, and Bodhi, four, died one week before his planned due date. Kelsey shared the news via a poem.
“The world grew quiet as you arrived, so loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Our precious baby boy, our angel light, born with wings, took silent flight. We named you Phoenix, brave and bright.
“A soul of love, warmth and light though we never heard you cry, you’ll live in hearts that won’t ask why. No breath you drew, no eyes to see, still, you mean everything to me. You’ll journey with us, softly near, in every sigh, in every tear.”
Kelsey also posted to her Instagram stories, adding that she appreciated all the well-wishes she’d thought people might send, but needed time and space to grieve. “With the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news,” she finished.
The influencer and her tree surgeon boyfriend announced their romance in September 2024. Kelsey has previously opened up about how she was targeted by online trolls for moving on after her husband Tom’s death following a lengthy battle with brain cancer. Speaking on Lorraine in March, she said: “It’s been three years, this is Tom’s three year anniversary of his death and it’s almost like people want me to feel guilty for moving on.”
“I’m always going to have guilt,” she added. “But what’s so hard is that Tom’s not here anymore so what do people want me to do? Our house was full of so much sadness but now it’s full of happiness. The kids deserve that more than anything.
“They’ve been through so much, I feel like we are taking the steps forward to heal but I just want other women to feel like it’s OK to move on, it’s not taking anything away from the love I had for Tom.”
