The American reality star has admitted she believes in a wild conspiracy theory after going down a social media rabbit hole
Kim Kardashian has revealed she believes the moon landing was fake after going down a conspiracy theory rabbit hole on TikTok.
The 45-year-old reality star made the shocking admission during the latest episode of The Kardashians whilst having her hair and makeup done alongside her All’s Fair co-star Sarah Paulson.
The pair, who became close friends whilst filming the Disney+ series, discussed various conspiracy theories that Kim had been researching online.
“I’m sending you, like, so far a million interviews with Buzz Aldrin and the other one,” Kim told Sarah, before showing the American Horror Story actress a clip on her phone.
She then confessed she doesn’t believe the historic 1969 moon landing actually took place, reports the Mirror US.
Discussing an alleged interview with astronaut Buzz, Kim explained: “This girl says, ‘What was the scariest moment?’ And he goes, ‘There was no scary moment ’cause it didn’t happen.
“It could have been scary but it wasn’t because it didn’t happen.’ So he’s gotten old and now he like, slurs on his thinking.”
A stunned Sarah simply responded: “Dudes.” “So I think it didn’t happen,” Kim declared.
Sarah admitted: “I’m gonna go on a massive deep dive is what’s gonna happen. I’m gonna go on a serious deep dive.”
Buzz Aldrin remains the last surviving member of the Apollo 11 crew, following Neil Armstrong’s death in 2012 and Michael Collins’ passing in 2021.
Throughout his career, Buzz has consistently spoken publicly about the historic moon mission.
The footage Kim viewed came from a Q&A session with the former astronaut at the Oxford Union in 2015.
His remarks were taken out of context to suggest he had confessed the moon landing was staged.
In the complete clip, Buzz acknowledged it wasn’t frightening to be on the moon, but didn’t claim the moon landing never occurred.
He answered the question, remembering “kicking up dust and picking up some rocks” from the lunar surface.
Speaking on The Kardashians about her friendship with Sarah, Kim confessed: “I send her conspiracies all the time.”
Later in Kim’s on-set trailer, she sat on a sofa and told the cameras, “We’re breaking for lunch at 10.15 p.m.”
A producer interjected: “Wait, for the record, you think that we didn’t walk on the moon?” Kim responded: “I don’t think we did,” as her producer gasped.
She went on: “I think it was fake. I’ve seen a few videos of Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen. He says it all the time now in interviews. Maybe we should find Buzz Aldrin.”
Grabbing her phone, Kim added, “Oh my God, Khloe should get him on her podcast. A conspiracy theory podcast.”
In a voiceover as she texted Khloe, Kim questioned: “Why does Buzz Aldrin say it didn’t happen?”
“There’s no gravity on the moon. Why is the flag waving? The shoes that they have in the museum that they wore on the moon is a different print in the photos. Why are there no stars?”
In a candid moment, the reality star was asked by a producer: “What do you have to say to people who are going to say you’re crazy for saying that?”
Kim responded: “They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what. But like, go to TikTok, see for yourself.”
