This year’s Met Gala saw Kim Kardashian stumble as she made her way onto the red carpet, with what appeared to be stern words for a security guard working the event
Kim Kardashian caused a stir on the red carpet of this year’s Met Gala, but not necessarily for her choice of outfit. This year, the highly cultured event is exploring the theme of “black dandyism,” with star-studded attendees encouraged to wear personally tailored outfits.
Cameras were rolling as the 44-year-old reality TV star and businesswoman could be seen reprimanding in a tense and awkward moment after she nearly fell while parading in front of the paparazzi.
Kim was attending the biggest night in the New York fashion calendar with her daughter North West, amid fears that her former husband Kanye West could gate crash the event after a disturbing skit posted on social media.

Videos were quickly shared on TikTok of the incident, with posts showing the Kardashian stumbling forward before turning angrily to the security guard.
She appears to say something to reprimand him and holds up her hand with a flash of anger at the event staff.
Afterwards, as she hopped into the back of a pick-up truck to make it up the Metropolitan Museum of Art Steps, she was reportedly seen glaring in the direction of the guard.
Kim donned a bodycon dress with some tailored leather for the event, with a complementing Chrome Hearts fedora.
The ensemble drew its inspiration from the zoot suits of black male tailoring in the 1930s, reports the Mail.
With a slight mobster vibe, Kim matched her dark outfit with a glittering, cascading diamond necklace with matching earrings.
In pictures shared before the red carpet, North West can be seen getting ready with her mum, Kim, as she prepares for a night of high fashion.
North sported a coordinated cowhide jacket and shorts ensemble, paired with black Nike high crew socks and $1,200 black leather Rick Owens trainers.
While North may be more than welcome at the star-studded event, her father Kanye is reportedly banned from ever returning to the annual fundraiser.
Security has had to be beefed up to prevent Kanye from making a surprise appearance at the event, after he posted a video titled “MET BALL 2025” on social media, where he appears to be wearing a Ku Klux Klan outfit.
