Kim Kardashian opens up about her ex-husband Kanye West in series seven of The Kardashians
Kim Kardashian has made a heartfelt admission about her children witnessing the ‘behaviour’ of their father, Kanye West.
The 45-year-old reality star tied the knot with rapper Kanye, 48, in 2014 and they had four children together before parting ways in 2022.
Kanye, who has long been a contentious figure in the music industry, has been frequently hitting the headlines for his political remarks and social media outbursts since their split.
In the seventh series of The Kardashians, which kicked off today (October 23), the SKIMS founder opened up about her former spouse.
In the first episode, the producers quizzed Kim: “Your ex-husband, when you see the behaviour happening, just like everybody else sees it, what’s going through your mind?”
The socialite simply responded: “My poor kids.”
She went on to say: “Everyone around can handle it. But like, protect my babies.”
The ex-couple are parents to North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six. As they mature, Kim worries she won’t be able to control what her children are exposed to, reports OK!

“They’re going to know things, they’re going to grow up, they’re going to see. So my job as a mum is to just make sure that, at a time when that behaviour is happening, is just to make sure that they are protected,” she elaborated.
Referring to an unspecified incident, she added: “It was the first time, I think, one of my kids knew what was happening. I’ve been able to hide it for so long.”
Kanye previously alleged he was denied access to his children, but the businesswoman counters, “he has never called”.
Kim disclosed: “As much as people think that I have the luxury of walking away and not dealing ever again, that’s not my reality. This person, we have four kids together.
“It’s very confusing because it’ll be all this talk on the internet of like ‘I’m keeping the kids’ he’s never once called and asked.”
She further clarified: “It’s a divorce not a kidnapping. We haven’t left, we’re in the same spot. We have the same address, so he knows where his kids are at.”
According to the mum-of-four, she had even proposed daily dinners and other family activities to maintain the family as a unit. But the idea didn’t materialise.
Kim later confessed her children’s reality is “so f****** sad” compared to her own upbringing, which saw Kris Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner and Robert Kardashian Sr. successfully co-parenting.
