Actress Kristen Bell appeared on stage for a chat about the Netflix program Nobody Wants This, following backlash and being accused of making light of domestic violence
Actress Kristen Bell has broken her cover for a promotional appearance for her Netflix program Nobody Wants This, following fans blasting her online for a tone-deaf anniversary post. Kristen, 45, looked stylish and confident in a silk top and featured in an on-stage chat with her co-star Adam Brody.
The actress appeared at The 92nd Street to promote the second series of the Netflix program, Nobody Wants This, which is available to watch on the streaming platform from today. Kristen plays the role of Joanne, and, much like the first season, Nobody Wants This series two is going to consist of 10 episodes, all of which are going to be dropped onto Netflix on its initial release date.
The Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Frozen star stepped out after she was accused of making light of domestic violence after sharing a ‘sad and insensitive’ post on her anniversary to Dax Shepard.

Kristen and Dax, 50, recently celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary, and Kristen paid tribute to her hubby with a photo where she was seen sitting on his lap while the pair shared a hug.
She controversially wrote: “Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivised to kill you, I never would’.”
Fans were in shock over the caption and said it was a ‘crazy thing to joke about’, with one pointing out she posted the tribute on Domestic Violence Awareness month.
One person wrote: “Crazy thing to joke about honestly. Sincerely, someone who thankfully survived”, while another added: “Kristen, there’s no way you posted this during domestic violence awareness month”.
Another posted: “That’s a wildly sad and insensitive thing to say considering it’s domestic violence awareness month and thousands of women have died a the hands of the man they trusted…”
Kristen began dating actor Dax Shepard in 2007, and the pair announced their engagement in 2010. However, they decided to delay their marriage until the state of California passed legislation legalising same-sex marriage.
She and the 49-year-old The Ranch actor went on to have two daughters, born in March 2013, and December 2014.
Two years later, in 2016, she opened up about receiving treatment for depression and anxiety, which stemmed from her college days.
She told Motto: “I felt plagued with a negative attitude and a sense that I was permanently in the shade. I’m normally such a bubbly, positive person, and all of a sudden I stopped feeling like myself.”
After deciding to seek help, she said: “It’s important for me to be candid about this so people in a similar situation can realise that they are not worthless and that they do have something to offer. We all do.”
