Lauryn Goodman details relationship with Kyle Walker
Lauryn Goodman recently expressed her wish to “build bridges” with footballer Kyle Walker following his split from wife Annie Kilner. The 33-year-old WAG, who shares two children with Kyle – son Kairo and a daughter Kinara, has maintained a complicated but ongoing relationship with him.
Kyle was married to Annie before his affair with Lauryn. Despite their ongoing marriage, Annie filed for divorce in October, bringing an end to their relationship.
Lauryn has now spoken about her desire to rebuild her relationship with Kyle and for him to strengthen his bond with their children. She told Closer : “I hope we can all just move forward and do what’s right by all the children.
“I have faith and hope that bridges will be built for the sake of Kairo and Kinara, because at the end of the day, we share two wonderful children together and life is just too short.”
She added: “I’m hopeful their dad will come back to them and continue to build his relationship with them. I hope for Kyle’s sake it is sooner rather than later, because Kairo is starting to understand now. He asks for his daddy and he’s starting to realise that maybe it’s his choice [not to be around]. I always say that Daddy is busy playing football, but he’s not believing my excuses anymore.”
Lauryn previously shared that her son frequently asks to see Kyle, saying: “He asks for his daddy and he’s starting to realise maybe it’s his choice… I always say that Daddy is busy playing football, but he’s not believing my excuses anymore.” Lauryn added her hopes that “all” involved could “move forward and do what’s right for all the children,” and said she had “faith” that the right thing could be done for her kids.
Despite sharing her hopes that everyone could build bridges for the children involved in her love triangle, Lauryn recently hinted that she still had beef with Annie. Appearing on podcast Yours Sincerely, she told co-host Lisa Andrews: “I did get a message today saying that comments are being liked on her page about her apparently brainwashing my children.”
She asked: “Can we touch on that? Come off it, what am I brainwashing my child about? Do I ever… You’re here, and you’re around me so much. I don’t bring up his dad to him, do I?
“We literally get on with our lives. We are a little family unit. It’s just crazy that people think I’m just sitting there trying to get him to rehearse stuff or whatever. What good would that do my child? I’m all about how my child is going to feel in the future.”
Lauryn continued: “These are things his dad are going to have to deal with in the future because Kairo and Kinara will 100% want to ask him some questions. I don’t think the answers he’ll give will be good enough because they’ll be able to see through him and that’s my personal opinion.” The Mirror have reached out to Annie’s reps for comment.
