Lego has finally launched its 2025 Christmas range with builds for all the family, and one of the best – and most affordable – ones to shop is a gingerbread house for £35
If there’s one thing that tops the list of must-have Christmas gifts each year, it’s Lego. Whether it’s for your kids or a Lego-loving adult, a new set is the perfect gift to give, so you can spend Christmas Day getting stuck into building your new gift.
Even if you don’t want to wait to give it as a gift and just want to treat yourself during the festive season, Lego’s new Christmas range has some great picks. One of our favourites from the new range is the Festive Gingerbread House , which you can pick up for £34.99.

The Festive Gingerbread House is perfect for ages 10 years and up, and has 498 making it a great in-between size build that isn’t too taxing, but still requires a little bit of patience and skill. The house features two fronts which are decorated by candy cane door frames, sweet-inspired colourful discs on the roof, and “icing” decorations along the edges that let you decorate the house just like a regular gingerbread house.
You’ll even get a miniature Santa figurine to complete the perfect festive picture. Not only does the Festive Gingerbread House look great on a shelf or as part of your Christmas decor, but it’s fully functional too. It opens up to create the illusion of two houses side by side, and the inside reveals an adorable festive scene.
Inside is Santa’s workshop, which features Santa’s desk, a fireplace and a bedroom, with little details like a cup of coca for Santa to enjoy at his kitchen table. If you want something a little more elaborate, the Plaxsoon Christmas Gingerbread House Village Mini Building Set is £52.99, down from £55.99.
The village set has lights inside to create a soft cosy glow, and has three individual buildings, as well as additional little details like Santa and his sleigh, a train with presents piled on the back, and a miniature Christmas tree. You could also create a large Colour-in Cardboard Gingerbread House for £20 at Hobbycraft, which allows you and your little one to colour it in and decorate however you want, before doubling as a play house for them.
However Lego shoppers have been delighted with their £34.99 Festive Gingerbread House . One wrote: “Ordered on release date after eagerly anticipating it, and it didn’t disappoint. Fun to build and will make a great addition to my Christmas Lego display. I think it was well worth the price.”
Another said: “I love the set. It’s super cute once it’s built, I’ve been waiting for it to drop to add to part of our Christmas decor. Of course my son wanted to put it together right away. I will say it is a little bit tricky given the build and how it opens. I think if there was a more intuitive app version versus just the book it would’ve been helpful. My four-year-old son loves playing with this set and I think it’s really cute. I do wish it had more accessories like a Christmas tree or something like that but overall, I still think it’s really cute and I love the translucent windows and detail on the house.”
However one disappointed buyer said: “If this was $30 and not $40 it would have gotten another star but it’s very sparse inside, but the outside is what got it the 3 stars…. Not happy at all with this one.”
