Lidl shoppers ‘need’ £3 treat that ‘tastes so good’

By staff11 October 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

The supermarket has impressed festive fans with the tasty addition to its food and drink offering

While it’s not quite time to start the Christmas countdown, shoppers love browsing festive food and drink in supermarkets at this time of the year. Many shops are already stocking their seasonal products, and shoppers are eager to start their taste tests.

One early favourite from Lidl is a festive drink that has caught attention on social media. Lidl shoppers are loving the £2.99 treat that “tastes so good.” The supermarket has impressed shoppers by selling flavoured chai latte, with two options available. The first festive flavour is gingerbread, while the second is a combination of vanilla and cinnamon.

Highlighting the find on TikTok, @libbiemayfitzpatrick gained 25,000 likes after posting a video showcasing the two flavours. Her caption said: “Omg,” and viewers were just as excited.

One viewer commented: “I need the vanilla one.” Another reply said: “WE NEED THIS!!” Someone else wrote: “I got mine!” Libby replied: “Ooh which once?” and the shopper answered: “Both. Vanilla and cinnamon smells like ice cream and tastes so good! The gingerbread I bought last year and it’s a mild but good gingerbread flavour.”

There was more excitement when a shopper showcased the gingerbread chai latte on Facebook page, Snack Reviews. The post said: “OMG! Gingerbread Flavour Chai Latte is back, just spotted at LIDL.”

A fan praised: “I’ve had so many tubs of this I’ve lost count. It’s the best.” Someone else thought: “This looks lovely.” A different viewer said: “Oh yes that looks delicious.” Meanwhile, a customer tagged their friend, writing: “Remember plum pudding one from last year was delicious.”

Shoppers can find their nearest Lidl store here. For gingerbread fans, there’s no shortage of festive products. As per the supermarket’s website, Lidl stocks £1.45 Maltesers Gingerbread Reindeers. The retailer is also offering £3.99 Gingerbread Mulled Wine 5%. Both products are available in stores now, which could be ideal for customers keen to start their festive shopping.

It’s not just food and drink that’s available. Elsewhere, Home Bargains is stocking a selection of festive decor, and this year’s range includes various gingerbread-themed items. For example, there’s a £2.49 Sleigh Bells Paint Your Own Gingerbread Mug, which could interest chai lovers looking for a themed mug for their festive drink.

The product description states: “Get creative this festive season with the Sleigh Bells Paint Your Own Gingerbread Mug – a fun and festive activity perfect for kids aged 5 and up! Personalise your mug with colourful decorations and add a cosy touch to your Christmas.”

The description continues: “Add a dash of sweetness to your holiday crafting with the Sleigh Bells Paint Your Own Gingerbread Mug! This adorable ceramic mug is shaped like a cheerful gingerbread character and comes ready for you to decorate with your own festive flair.”
