The exact lip tint that Rachel Zegler wore in Snow White was revealed and it can be bought at Boots – and the actress said it stayed on for hours during filming
Following the release of Disney’s live-action version of the iconic 1939 film Snow White, Hollywood actor Rachel Zegler has shared her on-set beauty tips. In a chat with Allure, she revealed that her lip colour of choice during filming was Benetint by Benefit.
Rachel mentioned she opted for a “much pinker shade” which, when blended with her natural lip tone, achieved the perfect red for Snow White’s signature style. “I had that Benetint on for hours and hours, and it never faded,” she disclosed.
“We would touch it up after lunch, but otherwise, it was on for a good portion of the day.” She added: “And having a lip like that that stays is very important, especially in filmmaking.”
For those looking to mimic Rachel Zegler’s enduring Snow White aesthetic, Boots carries the exact product used, reports the Liverpool Echo. Stocked both online and in physical stores, Boots offers the 6ml bottle of Benefit’s Benetint Rose-Tinted Lip and Cheek Stain for £19.12.
It’s described as offering the “sexiest flush you can get from a bottle”. Boots hails this “iconic” rose-tinted stain, initially created for an exotic dancer in the 1970s, as having reached “cult-fave status”.
The retailer states: “The precise lip applicator glides right on lips and blends over cheeks for a gorgeous look in seconds, and the kiss-proof colour lasts for hours. It’s loved by celebs, makeup artists and gals around the world.”
Benefit’s Benetint Rose-Tinted Lip and Cheek Stain boasts a “natural finish” and is described by the brand as “smudge-proof” and “long-wearing”. To achieve the desired effect, simply sweep it over your lips to build colour intensity to your liking. It doubles up as a cheek stain too.
The Benefit Benetint has garnered a 4.3-star rating from customers. One satisfied buyer exclaimed: “So love this product! Looks like a natural glow when applied and the colour lasts all day and night!” Cass shared her thoughts: “Very good product have to blend fast so it doesn’t stain a blob on your cheeks haha! Beautiful colour.”
Another reviewer noted: “This lasts a long time during the day which is perfect; the colour is quite dark pinky/red so doesn’t look super natural, but it’s nice for adding a pop of colour and easy to apply.” Anca reviewed: “Amazing product, can be used as lip stain and blush and looks very natural.”
Elsa expressed her affection for the tint saying: “I love this lip tint so much. It may seem like a lot of money, but it really does give you lots of product and it has lasted me almost a year. I love this product so much.” Patricia said: “Would never be without this! Best tint in the range!”
Someone else put: “Love it, really pigmented and the it lasts all day.” One more said: “I bought this a over 3 months ago and it has lasted me ages I still have over half left not only it is worth your money but its really pretty on the skin.”
In contrast, a less content shopper remarked: “It looks really pretty on the lips and cheeks but it doesn’t last long and is too expensive to justify, there are a lot of other tints that are cheaper.” Another dissatisfied customer declared: “Coloured water, with a slight rose scent, does not tint lips, a complete waste of money.” Sam added: “Very liquidy and does not last even an hour.”
