Following Jake’s dominant victory over Mike Tyson last month, the young American has been called out for a tag-team fight by a boxing legend
Former four-weight boxing world champion Roy Jones Jr has sensationally called out both Jake and Logan Paul for a tag-team fight.
Since making his professional debut back in 2020, ‘The Problem Child’ has taken the sport of boxing by storm. With a professional record of 11-1, the young American has already defeated the likes of Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz. His only defeat inside the squared-circle came on points against Tommy Fury last year.
Paul recently picked up the 11th win of his professional career, defeating former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson. Despite failing to knockout the 58-year-old, the social media star scored a dominant victory on points.
Since the showdown in Texas last month, many have been quick to call-out ‘The Problem Child’ – including heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois. That said, arguably the most stunning call-out has come from Jones Jr. The 55-year-old has revealed he would come out of retirement to take on both Jake and Logan in a tag-team bout.
“Since we’re in this social media era, the era of influencer boxing, big names make big events. What bigger names are there than Roy Jones and Jake Paul?” Jones Jr said in an interview with Covers. The boxing icon has revealed he’d love for former world champion Lennox Lewis to be his partner.
“I would most definitely (do a tag-team match against Jake Paul and Logan Paul). That idea sounds great to me. I’d probably choose Lennox Lewis as my partner. Lennox is a big heavyweight and both those brothers are big heavyweights. Lennox was a heavyweight champion, and I was a heavyweight champion. But I was never a true heavyweight. So if I’m going to fight two heavyweights why not give me a heavyweight too?”

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to lock horns again on December 21 with the Brit attempting to avenge his defeat by the Ukrainian in May. Victory for Fury could also set up a huge domestic showdown with bitter rival Anthony Joshua next year
While Lewis has revealed he is back in training, the former undisputed heavyweight world champion has shut down any talks of a sensational return to the ring. “Comeback? Nobody’s really made that offer to me to consider anything like coming back,” he said. “I started training because I wanted to be in great shape by my (60th) birthday.”
The Brit was then quick to offer his thoughts on Paul’s recent clash with Tyson. “To me you’re talking about different events – you’re talking about an event for fans of Tyson, to actually see him back in the ring, and fans of a YouTuber, to see him in the ring with Tyson, he said. “At the end of the day you’ve got a big event that a lot of people were happy to attend, and they felt OK. The boxing purist didn’t feel OK, they didn’t feel it was the right thing to do. They were two different events.
“Then you’ve got the real event which is the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world, where the two best fighters in the world actually meet and box and we can actually see who is the best out of the two, and who is the king of heavyweight boxing at the moment. That type of boxing doesn’t tarnish great boxing such as Usyk and Fury, because you’ve got two different types of eras and things going on. You’ve got entertainment, and you’ve got real good fighting with drama.”
