Britain’s Got Talent star, Amanda Holden, shared the Rightmove listing of her parent’s home on Instagram

Amanda Holden’s family are selling a £895,000 property on Rightmove – and now, you can peek inside. This ‘true rural gem’ is situated in Hersham, a hamlet south of Kilkhampton in Cornwall.

The TV star’s parents confessed they are giving it up ‘begrudgingly’ to be nearer family and friends. Commenting on a Rightmove advert, they said it’s just a five-minute drive from stunning sandy beaches and go-to spots like Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.

“We are sad to leave this lovely home we have lived in for over 22 years,” Amanda’s family said, according to a Rightmove listing. “We will miss the early morning bird song and the gorgeous vistas and spectacular sunsets from different viewpoints throughout our gardens.

“We have had many wonderful memories of barbecues in the garden with family and friends. Unfortunately age has caught up with us and begrudgingly we feel the time has come to downsize and be nearer to family.

“We will miss our wonderful house and all our neighbours (95% of which are still here). It is so peaceful and quiet and very private and although in a country lane only five mins car ride away from amenities and the wonderful sandy beaches.”

The main thatched-roof detached cottage boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two receptions and a car park that can host roughly eight vehicles at a time. It’s home to several cosy fireplaces, stunning timber floors and historic features, having once been the centre of traditional cart marking.

Entering the main cottage through the lobby, prospective buyers will be welcomed into a comfortable kitchen and breakfast room, with LPG central heating throughout. This unfolds into the dining room, another hallway and a sitting room.

Sellers continue: “The principal bedroom is great double room in terms of size, with a beautiful guest room enjoys its own en suite facilities, while the remaining two bedrooms offer versatility for extra family or as a dressing room, as our clients currently use the 4th bedroom for.”

Three annexes with more bedrooms are also situated on site with an ‘established history’ of holiday letting income over more than 10 years. Two are single-storey, while the third is on two floors and offers a living room, kitchen, and conservatory.

Beyond the property, owners may enjoy its sweeping landscape gardens and three scenic lookout spots, too. From here, you can not only spot the sea but also sweeping views of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor.

Each of the annexes have separate secluded garden areas and courtyards. The sellers add: “Whether you’re seeking an idyllic family home with space for extended family or looking to combine country living with income generation, this magical Cornish retreat offers something truly special.”

This beautiful property is situated in Hersham, a small village located south of Kilkhampton in Cornwall. It’s nearly two miles from the historic village of Statton, which features a medical centre, several local pubs, a post office, and a seven-day shop.

The coastal town of Bude is also nearby, where visitors can explore delightful cliff walks and sandy beaches.

The property is currently listed at £895,000 on Rightmove. For more information, visit its website.
