Love Island 2025 will show sex scenes as Islanders divided by new rule

By staff4 June 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

EXCLUSIVE: With the new series approaching, executive producer Mike Spencer has said it will be its most “exciting” year yet and these two new islanders are divided on the new “twists and turns”

Sophie and Meg

Meg Moore and Sophie Lee are heading into the villa and there is one thing that is dividing them in opinion

Hold onto your bikinis, because Love Island is heating up like never before. After a decade of drama, declarations, and duvet-diving, ITV’s sun-soaked hit is back – and this time, sex is on the table. Literally.

And yes, we’ll be seeing it. Executive producer Mike Spencer confirmed the sizzling shake-up after an exclusive tour of the villa: “If sex happens, we’ll show it. The Hideaway will be open 24 hours.”

Forget fumbling under the covers – this year, the cameras aren’t blinking. Mike added: “We need to keep the show fresh and exciting. After 10 years, the stats speak for themselves. The show will continue to thrive. We the producers need to stay ahead of the curve. The whole ‘twists and turns’ thing is about making the show fresh. We’re going to give it all we’ve got.” Well, mission accomplished.

Host Maya Jama, back with her signature sass and slay, said: “I feel like they forgot last year that you could come in the Hideaway at any time. We did tell them, but they kept forgetting!” Not anymore, Maya.

And what do this year’s sizzling singletons think? Megan Moore, who goes by Meg, is a 25-year-old payroll specialist from Southampton, told us: “It’s not ideal to be having it on telly, but you don’t know because you’re in that bubble. If it comes naturally, then it happens. You can’t ever never say never.”

Meanwhile, Sophie Lee, a 29-year-old former fire breather, influencer and motivational speaker from Manchester, is taking a different route: “I am celibate. I’ve practiced celibacy throughout my dating life. It’ll take a really hot guy to change that! For me, intimacy is giving a piece of my soul. If I’m not in a confident place, it’s a me problem – not his.”

“I’ve gone over 8 months celibate now, I was two years celebate before, and I’m proud of that. I only want to have sex when I truly want to – not out of pressure.”

Meg is swapping payslips for passion this summer as she enters the villa in search of romance.

Meg, who describes herself as a “girl’s girl” with a heart of gold, is already making waves before she’s even stepped foot into the villa. She’s refreshingly honest, slightly chaotic in the best way, and insists she’s “not your typical Islander.” With her “mum of the group” energy, she could be exactly what the villa needs.

“I thought I’d be more nervous, but I actually feel really chilled,” she told us. “Now it’s getting real, and I’m so excited.”

While many Islanders prep with cosmetic treatments, Meg kept it natural—well, aside from a fresh set of hair extensions. “I’m not someone who does loads of filler. I had a bit two years ago, but that’s it,” she said.

When it comes to love, Meg’s ready to go all in. “If I want a man, I’ll go for it. Don’t hate the player, hate the game,” she laughed.

Meg’s love life so far? “A bit of a shambles,” she admits, blaming poor hygiene in past relationships as a major ick. Now, she’s ready for a boyfriend – and possibly a bit of drama.

While Meg is bringing the fire, Sophie is no stranger to it too. After suffering life-changing burns when she was 22, the model is channelling that traumatic time into her superpower.

“Body confidence has been a journey,” she explains. “That’s why I said no to the show previously—I wasn’t ready. I still had inner work to do. Now, I’m in a place where I feel confident, beautiful, and proud. Beauty isn’t just what you look like. You could wear a bin bag and feel beautiful. For me, it’s about how I feel inside. I’m at a stage where I can handle rejection and know that if something’s not for me, that’s okay.”
