Love Island’s Whitney Adebayo met and fell for Lochan Nowacki while in the Love Island villa in 2023 however the pair recently split after two years in a relationship
Love Island star Whitney Adebayo has claimed her ex-boyfriend Lochan Nowacki ‘called her skin dirty’ during their relationship in an explosive TikTok post – which Lochan denies. Whitney, 27, posted a TikTok in which she made the claim, but later deleted the post after it went viral on the platform.
However, she has since shared the post once again, with Lochan sharing his own response to the allegations. The former flames met on Love Island in 2023, before finishing up in seventh place on the series.
The pair continued to date outside of the villa until earlier this year when they split. It comes after Cat Deeley found moving back to the UK ‘really hard’ before split from Patrick Kielty.

Following the split, Whitney has now made an explosive allegation about Lochan during their time together on TikTok. The post in which Whitney makes the allegations shows her posing in a stunning bright pink strapless bikini on a beach in Barbados. In the first photo she writes on top: “‘You look happier'”.
The second photo shows her on a beach lounger looking at a camera. She penned on top of the second image: “Thanks! I finally fell in love with my skin he used to call dirty,” followed by a pink glittering heart emoji. Whitney added more photos of herself in a bikini on the post.
Whitney’s sister then posted to defend her sibling against some criticising her for making the allegation. Liz shared a screenshot of an alleged WhatsApp conversation, which appears to be with Lochan and dates back to August 18, 2024.
An alleged message from Lochan reads: “Please speak to whit she is fully cone and I feel awful but I never said it thinking her skin is dirty I feel sick I crossed line with joke but she she she can’t look at me the same. I don’t know what to do Liz.”
Writing on top of the screengrab on her Instagram story, Liz said: “The fact that evidence is needed is absurd to me why can’t women speak and be heard? I’m tired of seeing people constantly paint my sister as this person and jumping on the ‘hate Whitney’ bandwagon.
“I know what she went through and the fact that it took this long for her to heal and share her truth to be shamed is vile. As women we’ve all stayed in situations that didn’t serve us but when you get out, that’s when you really start to become a woman.
“Be kind and give grace,” she wrote to end her message to the critics.
Both Whitney and Lochan have since taken to TikTok to share videos to address the accusations. Lochan took to the platform to defend himself, posting a five minute clip. He said: “I don’t even know really where to begin with this.”
He explained that he and his family are “devastated and upset” about the allegations but feels like he had “no other choice” other than to address it on his own social media account.
Lochan goes into detail about his side of the situation that Whitney has since spoken about. He said a year into their relationship they were on a walk when Whitney started to show off her new nails.
“She annoyingly put her nails in my face and said, ‘My hands are so clean, yours aren’t.’ And I said, ‘No they’re not,'” he said.
“I was just annoyed her hands were in my face – it was a very off the cuff remark. She looked at me in shock and said, ‘You’re calling me dirty.’ I was taken aback by that. I felt insulted that my girlfriend – who I loved, who knows me, who knows that I would never insinuate something like that – is calling me a racist.
“I want to first off say I’ve never called someone’s skin dirty, I would never. That to me is the most upsetting comment.”
Lochan then goes into how upset the allegations made him before saying that he then went on to message Whitney’s sister to try and clear up the situation.
Whitney announced her split from Lochan in a candid Instagram video about her life in April this year. In a voiceover on top of a video of what she’s been up to recently, Whitney said: “It’s strange how you can wake up one day and decide everything that you once loved wasn’t enough anymore.
“Hey, my name’s Whitney and today I decided to become her. I used to adore the spring; the warmth, the light, the feeling that life is returning after a cold, dark winter. But, this year, April 4th, felt like a cruel reminder of winter’s chill. It was the day he chose to stop choosing us, the day he chose to stop choosing me. And, just like that, I found myself alone.”
Whitney has also shared her own video to TikTok, however hers was just one minute long compared to Lochan’s five minutes. She addressed her previous post which included the allegations before saying that she finds it hard to look into the camera as she doesn’t like to talk about her “feelings”.
She says: “This is for women, most importantly my black women that have a story to be told and don’t feel like it will be heard. I’m your example, share your story because you never know that story might just need to be heard.”
