Luke Littler’s incredible gift to brother and first huge purchase shows his true colours

By staff12 October 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

It’s an all-English affair in the World Grand Prix final as Luke Littler locks horns with Luke Humphries. Along with the glory itself, a huge cash prize is on offer to the champion

Teenage sensation Luke Littler has once again made a major final and will be facing long-term rival Luke Humphries in the showpiece event of the World Grand Prix.

The 2025 world champion banged 10 180s against Welshman Johnny Clayton in the semi-finals and will be hoping to replicate some of that form going into his match-up with Humphries. The latter defeated Danny Noppert in the last four, in what will be his third consecutive final appearance in this competition. As is the case with any of these major events, there is a lot of money on the line.

While it may not be anything close to the £500,000 Littler received for winning the World Championships at the beginning of the year, the victor of tonight’s match will receive a stunning £120,000.

Littler’s exact net worth is not publicly known but the Warrington-born star is most definitely a millionaire after a couple of years at the top level of the sport, so the prize fund available tonight will significantly pump his numbers. The 18-year-old shares the wealth with his family, who have supported him throughout the years. He is expected to surpass a net worth of £20m throughout his career.

After Littler became the youngest world champion earlier this year, he was spotted giving a handful of cash to his brother Leon in a sweet moment. It was all smiles from the pair as the family also left Ally Pally grinning ear to ear, with dad carrying the Sid Waddell trophy. Should Littler pick up the big prize tonight, it’s likely he’ll be sharing it with his family and friends once more.

It’s widely known that Littler is a big fan of EA SPORTS FC and is generally a big gamer and football fan. While he may pump a lot of money into in-game currency and various other football-related items, he has revealed big biggest purchase to date.

After winning the Players Championship 20 title in September 2024, he was asked by reporters what his biggest buy was, and he revealed that it was a bag, although the brand is unknown. It came shortly after he bagged £80,000 in prize money at an event in Amsterdam.

Now that learning to drive is on the agenda, Littler was also quizzed on what car would interest him once he’s able to get behind the wheel.

“I’ve always loved a Mercedes A-Class – just a small car,” Littler said. “Last year, I was looking at driving and I loved the Ford Focus, but now I’ve gone up in the world just a little!

“I haven’t had driving lessons yet because it’s been so hectic, but I’m going to have to do it before I get into my twenties when it’ll be too late and I can’t be bothered. If I get a car, it won’t be a birthday present from anyone. I think it would have to be a birthday present from me to me.”

Earlier in his career, when he had just finished in second place at the 2024 World Darts Championship, Littler jokingly revealed he intended to use his money on ‘FIFA points’ after scooping up £200,000 in winnings.

Littler had the mickey taken out of him by his friends for pursuing darts as a youngster, but now it seems the darting superstar has had the last laugh – being a millionaire before leaving his teens.

“I started off 18 months in a nappy on a magnetic board. But to keep at it. Obviously, when I’d say to my mates, I’ve got a darts competitions,” he said.

“They would say ‘Darts?’ Have you not seen it?. But I’ve come a long way. Me and my family have come a long way.”

Speaking about facing Humphries in this evening’s final, Littler said to Sky Sports: “I owe him one for the Premier League [final defeat]. Last year I lost in the first round but now I am in the final.

“We are ranked one and two [in the world] and hopefully I can get the win [on Sunday] and be on his back for that world number one spot.”
