The M62 has been closed today after a man in his 30s died when the car he was in smashed into a barrier during a police chase.
West Yorkshire Police were involved in the chase with a black Mercedes which had failed to stop on the motorway at 12.52am. As the car attempted to take an exit slip road, it smashed into a barrier.
A man in his 30s, who was the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene. As a result of the fatal collision, the road has been closed and drivers are being warned to seek alternative route.s
