After sharing a picture of her four stone weight loss, Married At First Sight star Polly had to shut down a body-shaming comment by one troll
Married At First Sight bride Polly Sellman has fired back at a cruel message left on her social media. The reality TV star lost four stone and shut down a comment that tried to body shame her.
Polly, 30, appeared on last year’s series of the show and was partnered with Adam Nightingale. The pair struggled as Adam felt he was not attracted to his wife. After moving to Australia, Polly has completely transformed her life.
Thanks to her new lifestyle, Polly has had a dramatic weight loss. She wowed fans in a recent Instagram post where a black outfit showed off her new figure. While most people praised her, one commenter left a cruel message.
“Wow,” they said. “Maybe if Ozempic had existed when you went on MAFS the guy would have been attracted to you.” Polly shut the message down with just three words: “F*** off Millie.”
Polly and Adam struggled through their marriage for most of the series. Though they had some ups, by the final dinner party their relationship had completely broken down and Polly ended up calling Adam a “f***ing narcissist” in front of the other couples. Ultimately decided to part ways during the show’s finale.
Since then, Polly jetted off to Sydney and has since shared little glimpses into her life there through racy snaps on Instagram. In one of her summer posts, Polly turned heads as she posed in skimpy red bikini on the beach. She then flaunted her fabulous tan whilst wearing a leopard print two-piece. She ended her photo dump with a pic of her and her friends.
This post came shortly after the star let fans in on the real reason she ditched the MAFS reunion, even though she was supposed to attend. After fans questioned why she failed to film the reunion show, Polly took to TikTok to reveal all.
Polly posted a video of herself lipsyncing to Alessia Cara’s Here and captioned the post: “Seems fitting for everyone who’s asking me why I didn’t attend tonight.

“I was also in Centre Parcs when filming was, and I pulled out 2 days before because it wasn’t the best decision for me at the time. I wanted to stay with my best friends who genuinely cared about the head space I was in at the time.”
Polly has also revealed how she lost all the weight. “I finished filming and I was 16 stone (have been there or there abouts for 2 years) and now I’m 12.5. It’s been a case of upping my water intake, eating less and moving more. And I love that I’ve found a huge passion for fitness again because of the routine I really kept to, and still do.
“I still have a little way to go to get to my goal weight then when I’m there it’s going to be building strength and maintaining the weight I’ve lost without living a restricted lifestyle and keep a healthy relationship with food and drink.
“I’ve always been confident however not so much with my body, now have a lot more self confidence and feel so much more comfortable in certain clothing whereas I didn’t before. I dressed well for my shape and size but never felt hugely comfortable just the fact I knew how to dress to hide certain insecurities.
“However that’s now changed and I don’t think as much about covering certain things when I’m ordering clothes and it feels sooooo good.”
