A man has been rushed to hospital after a horror fall at a popular tourist hotspot this wek.
On Monday July 21 the 22-year-old fell in a rocky area on a private boat at around 5.33pm. Emergency services were called to the incident on Cabrito Beach, of San Sebastián de La Gomera.
Civil guard, port police and one ambulance from Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) rushed to the scene. Upon arrival teams found th 22-year-old had suffered moderate trauma to his upper limbs.

The victim was evacuated to the San Sebastián Pier, where SUC medical personnel were waiting in an ambulance. They assessed him and, after stabilizing him, transferred him to the Ntra. Sra. de Guadalupe Hospital for treatment.
The Civil Guard conducted an investigation, and Port Police officers collaborated with the resources deployed, according to a 112 incident log. It is not known if the man was a tourist or a local.

The island measures a mere 15 miles across (although it climbs to nearly 5,000ft) – has as many as 400 microclimates. The island has a population of around 22,000 people.
Last year, a whopping 15.5 million international visitors flocked to the Canary Islands, marking a 10 per cent spike compared to 2023.
