Man, 44, stabbed to death in London tourist hotspot as killer still on the loose

The Met Police are appealing for information after a man was brutally stabbed to death in Camden Gardens, North London, on the weekend. The knifeman is still on the loose

Police are hunting for a knifeman after a man was stabbed to death in broad daylight.

Emergency services raced to Camden Gardens, North London, at around 3:30pm on Saturday. The victim, a 44-year-old man, was found suffering with injuries at the scene. He was rushed to hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Sadly, his attacker remains at large with no arrests made at this time. Police have issued an appeal for information and have urged locals to check CCTV where possible. Residents have been informed there will be increased patrols in the area.

Borough Commander Jason Sewart said: “My team are working at pace to establish the full circumstances that led to this man’s tragic death in Camden Gardens. Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and friends at this very difficult time. They continue to be supported by specialist officers.

“A crime scene remains in place and residents can expect to see increased patrols in the local area as we carry out enquiries. We urge anyone in or around Camden Gardens to look at any CCTV camera footage and share anything that may be of use with police. This was an isolated incident and we do not believe there to be any threat to the wider public.”

The force also needs to wait for formal identification, and a special post-mortem to confirm the cause of death. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 stating CAD4558/27Sept. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 in order to remain anonymous.
