Man ‘looks like he can remember the future’ after procedure

Logan’s forehead swelled to about twice its normal size

A man joked he looked like Megamind after his head ballooned in size after a £3,500 procedure Logan Henderson decided to go under the knife to revive his thinning hair. He had been battling hair loss since the age of 19.

The 26-year-old booked himself in for the procedure on 1 November, where surgeons transplanted around 4,500 grafts. But just days after the op, accountant Logan realised that the recovery would be more complicated than he thought. He was forced to sleep upright for ten days to protect the delicate grafts — and by day two, he said his forehead had swollen in size.

He also wore a headband to help reduce the swelling. “The recovery was pretty rough,” said Logan, from Manchester.. “Sleeping upright was tricky for the first 10 days and I didn’t want to leave the house. I thought it was okay the day after but by day two I looked like Megamind.

“After I took the headband off, it started falling down my face and it lead to some pretty interesting head shapes. Every time the band was on it would collect and swell in my forehead and top of my head. By day three, my eyes were heavily bruised and looked like I had 12 rounds with prime Mike Tyson.

“My forehead not far off doubled in size, and my right eye nearly shut from swelling. I couldn’t feel my skull for a week because of the swelling. The day after the operation, I was walking through London to get the train with a headband on saying ‘want hair’ and I got a lot of looks and people nudging the person next to them.

“I went into hiding when the swelling really took off but I got some funny comments on TikTok. People were saying ‘he can remember the future’, ‘got a lot on his mind’ and ‘stop overthinking’.”

Logan said he wanted to “look his age again” after feeling that his receding hairline made him appear a decade older. He won’t see the full results of the operation for another 12 months. Logan added: “I wanted to revive the hair line and not look like I was 26 pushing 36.

“It was at a point where I needed to either shave it or try something else. I decided to give a transplant a go as I didn’t want to be bald and regret not trying something. I’ve been losing it since I was 19 so I knew it was on the cards at some point.

“I didn’t realise how soon I’d be at the point where any longer would have been too far gone. My hairline was playing all out attack. My hair was very thin and I had a bald patch at the crown.”
