Josh Kerr, 24, realised it would be cheaper to stay at an all-inclusive five star hotel in Turkey than rent his flat in Manchester
A savvy bloke ditched his monthly rent for a month-long jolly after clocking it was cheaper to jet off than pay up for his Manchester pad. Josh Kerr, 24, twigged that bunking at an all-inclusive five-star hotel in Turkey would cost less than his digs back home.
In a TikTok clip, he showed himself trawling through On The Beach holiday deals, stumbling upon a lush Turkish resort that undercut his rent. In the video he said: “Not being funny, right, but I pay £950 for my rent, bills, council tax.
“I’d be getting breakfast, lunch, evening meal, drinks, snacks and a gaff for £937.10! That’s with flights as well. What are we doing in England?” Following his viral video, On The Beach got wind of it and whisked him away to trial living in the resort for a full month.
The lad spent his days basking on golden sands, chilling poolside and indulging in the finest Turkish grub and hospitality. Riding the wave of Josh’s epic stint, On The Beach did some number-crunching to show people where they could swap their rent receipts for a slice of paradise.
