Man Utd transfer news: Bruno Fernandes receives mega offer as Bayern Munich eye duo

By staff25 August 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

Manchester United have spent more than £200million on new signings so far this summer and plenty more incomings and outgoings are expected before the transfer window slams shut

Manchester United have spent big so far this summer as they look to bounce back from last season’s disappointing campaign, which saw the Red Devils finish 15th in the Premier League and fail to qualify for the Champions League after losing the Europa League final.

United have spent more than £200million to bring in Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon, while Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on loan with an option to buy and Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof have been released.

More incomings and outgoings are expected before the transfer window slams shut, with manager Ruben Amorim keen to strengthen his squad in several positions while also offloading a number of fringe players.

Here, Mirror Football takes a look at all of the latest transfer news and rumours from in and around Old Trafford…

Fernandes’ Saudi offer

Bruno Fernandes turned down the chance to join Al-Hilal earlier this summer, but fellow Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are now hoping to sign the midfielder.

According to a report from the Sun, a ‘positive’ meeting has already taken place between the two camps and Fernandes is said to be demanding a contract worth £33m-a-year. Speaking earlier this summer, Fernandes admitted he would be willing to leave if United wanted to sell.

“I have always been honest,” he said. “I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go. I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club the great days. In the day that the club thinks that I’m too much or it’s time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it.

“But I’ve always said it and I keep my word in the same way. If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it’s what it is, and football sometimes is like this.”

Bayern eye duo

Bayern Munich are interested in signing both Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho, according to Sky Sports Germany.

Sancho is part of Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ after spending last season out on loan at Chelsea, while Hojlund’s future was plunged into doubt after Manchester United signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Lammens latest

Senne Lammens appears to be edging closer to joining Manchester United after he was left out of the squad by Royal Antwerp for their 2-1 win over Mechelen on Sunday.

Ruben Amorim is keen to bring in Lammens to provide more competition for Andre Onana, who has come in for criticism since signing for United after making a series of errors. And the deal looks to be close after Antwerp did not pick him against Mechelen, with Yannick Thoelen handed his first start of the season and new signing Taishi Brandon Nozawa on the bench.
