Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has already spoken out on the January transfer window with the Red Devils linked with a host of names while some could exit in the next month

Manchester United have not needed the January transfer window more than they do now.

The Red Devils have endured an awful first-half of the campaign and sit 13th in the Premier League table. They could certainly do with a signing or two to get them back on track under new boss Ruben Amorim.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has shown that he is not afraid to dig deep to add new signings. United spent around £180m on five new faces in the summer – so something similar could happen this time around.

Some current Red Devils stars could potentially leave Old Trafford in January. Take a look at all of the latest rumours and deals below:

Rashford urged to join Arsenal

Marcus Rashford has been told that he would suit Arsenal more than Manchester United by Danny Murphy. Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “Playing in a team that’s so settled and so confident and competent, there is a case that his end product would get much better, because Arsenal are really dominant in games. There would be some people who would take Rashford over [Gabriel] Martinelli.”

“The ability he’s got and physical attributes he has, he’s capable of more,” Murphy added. “But he’s been at a club where the managers and managerial team has not been stable, the team’s not been great.”

Reports have suggested that the Red Devils would be ‘open’ to offers for Rashford in the January window. He is under contract until 2028.

Ratcliffe primed for fire sale

While United are set to field offers for Rashford in January, it appears that Rashford might not be the only one sold. It is suggested by Mail Online that club chiefs are aware that sales need to happen to allow United to abide by the Premier League’s PSR spending rules.

It is further suggested that a maximum of nine stars are untouchable. Homegrown players could well be pushed to the front for their profit-making potential.

Alejandro Garnacho could be among those sacrificed. Meanwhile, injury-prone stars including Luke Shaw and Mason Mount could be brutally told to leave.

Griezmann ‘rejected’ move

Antoine Griezmann’s agent has revealed that the Frenchman turned down a move to United in the past. Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, he said: “He’s already 33, I don’t think so.

“There has been interest in the past. Never a concrete offer, but the teams are the well-known ones… But he hasn’t had an offer like from Manchester United: there he refused it and said no, but he has never opened up about saying goodbye to La Liga. If in the future he wants to play in a different style of football, we’ll see, I’m not saying he won’t.”

Man United were linked with an £85m move for Griezmann back in 2017. He eventually moved to Barcelona but is now back with Atletico Madrid.
