Marks and Spencer’s ‘chic and beautiful’ £65 waterproof coat that ‘looks expensive’

Now that the autumn is officially here, shoppers are preparing for all weather occasions – not just the cold, but the rain as well. There are many raincoats available online, but one in particular has rave reviews, with fashion savvy shoppers calling it ‘chic and beautiful’.

The Cotton Rich Stormwear Car Coat is currently available from Marks & Spencer for £65. The coat, which customers say ‘fits a little big’, comes in two colours, navy and buff, and runs from a size 6 to 24 – although some sizes are currently out of stock.

The brand says this coat has a button-through fastening and practical side pockets, plus a handy internal pocket for necessities. Plus, its ‘Stormwear’ technology aims to help to keep shoppers dry when showers appear – particularly handy with the unpredictable weather.

The collar and relaxed raglan sleeves create a classic silhouette, the brand says, while the midi length offers great coverage. Marks & Spencer is also offering a deal currently, whereby shoppers can get a Beauty Advent Calendar for £60 when they spend £35 on fashion, home or beauty.

As an alternative, shoppers can buy this Rain Parka with StormMove from H&M – although it’s more expensive, priced at £129.99. The coat is khaki green, comes in sizes extra small/small and medium/large, and is windproof, waterproof and breathable, the brand says.

Or there’s this Regatta ‘Romine II’ Waterproof Parka Jacket, currently available from Debenhams for £84, reduced from £120, saving shoppers 30%. This coat comes in sizes 8 to 26 and is described by the brand as being ‘trendy, function and weather-ready’.

Shoppers have written very positive reviews for the Cotton Rich Stormwear Car Coat from Marks & Spencer, leaving an average 4.6 out of five star rating, out of more than 1,500 reviews. One reviewer said: “Smart, chic and beautiful. Chic and beautiful – need one in every colour. This jacket is very flattering and makes everything look smarter.”

Another added: “The colour is exactly as shown on the website, the fit super, the length perfect and it looks really expensive. The coat is big enough to wear a jumper underneath.” While a third said: “Love this coat. I bought the navy one but may also get the natural one. Fits well.”

Some left feedback about the sizing. One wrote: “Bought as reasonably priced. Did not disappoint. Maybe slightly on large size.” Another said: “Comfortable and unfussy coat for throwing over everything when shopping, out and about etc. Casual but smart-looking. Size comes up a bit big.”
