M&S’ own fragrance range has sold a whopping 3 million bottles – and it’s expanding with four new scents
Christmas just came early for perfume lovers, and it smells expensive. M&S has dropped four brand-new £16 perfumes that could easily pass for something you’d find behind glass in Selfridges. The latest additions to the retailer’s cult Discover line promise all the glamour of designer fragrance counters, but without the three-figure price tag.
If you haven’t tried the range before, you’re missing out. M&S has already sold over 3 million bottles of its bestselling scents (some of which cost just £10 each), and now it’s taking things up a notch with intense, long-lasting Eau de Parfums.
The new lineup, Pink Pepper, White Coconut, Warm Neroli and Soft Iris, arrives just in time for gifting season (and party spritzing). Each fragrance gives a little wink to a cult classic. Pink Pepper is a warm, floral blend of orange blossom, jasmine and vanilla, and will definitely appeal to fans of YSL’s Black Opium, while Soft Iris, with its powdery jasmine and patchouli base, brings serious Chanel Coco Mademoiselle energy.

White Coconut smells like sunshine in a bottle, offering that creamy, beachy sweetness you’d find in luxury scents from Tom Ford (its Soleil Blanc EDP for £127 has a similar scent profile) or Estée Lauder, while Warm Neroli’s crisp citrus and soft musk notes could easily be mistaken for Jo Malone’s Basil & Neroli hero scent.
At just £16 each, they’re the ideal ‘treat yourself’ buy– one you’d pop in your basket with your weekly shop but end up wearing every day. Plus, with perfume searches doubling every December, it’s no wonder M&S has made its move with these affordable, premium-feeling scents that look chic on your dressing table.
Elsewhere, in perfume news, Armani’s ‘chic and elegant’ perfume is perfect for Christmas gifting and is now slashed by 50%. Armani’s Diamonds Eau De Parfum, described by shoppers as “chic and elegant”, has been reduced by 50%, brining the large 100ml bottle down from £80 to £40.
The scent is a long-standing favourite for many fragrance fans, loved for its blend of floral, fruity and gourmand notes. With top notes of lychee and raspberry, balanced by rose and patchouli, mixed with b ase notes of amber and vanilla, this feminine perfume is both warming and strong.
