Martin Lewis has shared a great hack for parents looking to save money on their Christmas shopping with 50% slashed off toys from Barbie, Hot Wheels and more at a major supermarket

As we head towards October, now is a great time to get started on some early Christmas shopping. Spreading the cost of your present buying across several months is a simple way to reduce big expenses coming out all at once, especially when you have things like food and decorations to buy during December.

And to make it even easier to save money, Martin Lewis has shared a lesser known deal over at MoneySavingExpert that saves you 50% on toys from the likes of Barbie and Hot Wheels. At Tesco, Clubcard holders can get the toys at half price from now until Sunday 2 November or whilst stocks last.

The deal is available to everyone who has a Tesco Clubcard, with the deal applicable in more than 260 larger Tesco supermarkets and Tesco Extra stores until the stores close on November 2. According to Tesco there are more than 200 brands included in the offer, which spans dolls, collectables, plushies, vehicles and more.

Don’t fret if you currently don’t have a Clubcard either, as you can still sign up for one now and use it at checkout to receive your 50% discount. Just some of the toys included in the offer are:

  • Hot Wheels Stunt Track Blast Launch – £30 (was £60)
  • Barbie Classroom set – £20 (was £40)
  • Gabby’s Dollhouse Party Room play set – £16.50 (was £33)
  • Twister Air game – £7.50 (was £15)
  • Little Live Pets My Puppy’s Home – £13.50 (was £27)
  • XSHOT Skins Sonic The Hedgehog four-pack – £20 (was £40)
  • Smashers Dino Island Jurassic Egg – £25 (was £50)

The 50% off toys offer isn’t the only discount the Tesco Clubcard will get you either, as other current offers running with it include getting you F&F school uniform items from £4. Of course Tesco isn’t the only place you can get great savings at the moment.

At Amazon the Hot Wheels Track Builder Unlimited is currently £24.99 down from £34.99, and whilst it’s not 50% off, it’s still a great saving. Also at Amazon the Barbie Fashionistas Set with 2 Fashion Dolls & 6 Accessories is half price, down from £29.99 to £14.99.

Meanwhile Lego is currently running a sale on many of its builds, plushies and even books, with options for all age groups and to suit all budgets with up to 40% off some items. However if you want the broadest range of choice, the Tesco Clubcard offer is a great place to shop and save yourself some money.
