Former Love Island star Maura Higgins is said to be concerned over what former flame Curtis Pritchard could say about their romance if he appears on Love Island All Stars next month
Former Love Island star Maura Higgins is thought to be concerned about what ex Curtis Pritchard may share if he returns to the show.
The Irish beauty, who is currently reportedly dating former TOWIE star Pete Wicks, shacked up with Curtis in the 2019 edition of the dating series. However, their romance was short lived and they called it quits after eight months outside the villa.
Now, while Maura seems to have found her match, Curtis is said to be looking for love once again on the all star version of the ITV show. And it’s thought Curtis could make for awkward viewing if he discusses his past with Maura.
Speaking ahead of next month’s new series, a source told The Sun: “Curtis signing for All Stars is more than awkward for Maura just as she’s fallen for Pete and they’ve finally gone public with their love. Her break-up with Curtis wasn’t the best and Maura always worried he’d be the ex that could blab.”
They continued: “It’s also less than ideal when she’s hoping to build on her I’m A Celebrity profile and advance her career.” The insider said Curtis’ appearance could come later on in the series with the dancer thought to be ready to be a season bombshell as the famous faces from previous editions look for their perfect partner in Cape Town, South Africa.
The new series is set to start on January 13. Among those being linked with a return are past favourites Grace Jackson, Luca Bish and Liv Hawkins. Fans are also convinced 28-year-old footballer Ronnie Vint is a dead cert for the upcoming spin-off, set to kick off next month.
Initially, Ronnie was coupled with Jess White, 25, in the 2024 series. However, he soon hit it off with Harriett Blackmore, 24, and the duo eventually exited the villa as a pair. In a revealing chat in September, Harriet confessed: “I love him so much but it just didn’t work.”
Now, some of Ronnie’s recent remarks have sparked whispers about potential impending appearance. One viewer suggested: “Ronnie laying the ground work for his Love Island All Stars reunion with Harriett.” On Reddit, another shared an interview with Ronnie and added: “It does sound like they’re both gonna be on All Stars. This makes me think he hasn’t been picked by producers. He’s trying to create something again with Harriett because she most likely will be on All Stars and he wants to be as well.”
