Wella’s brand new Ultimate Smooth Miracle Oil Serum is designed to control frizz for up to four days, and has already racked up a number of five star reviews
As lovely as this recent warm weather has been, it can often lead to dry, dull, or frizz-prone hair and looking like Monica Geller in that episode of Friends (it’s the humidity!) It comes as Wella Professionals’ has released their brand new Ultimate Smooth range, which works to ‘smooth and nourish the hair from the inside and out’. The four-step haircare system features a shampoo , conditioner , mask , and its hero product – the Miracle Oil Serum.
The leave-in treatment is designed to control frizz for up to 96 hours, deliver 85% smoother hair, and protect against heat up to 230°C, as well as UV exposure. It’s formulated using squalane and omega-9, which are skincare-inspired ingredients which help moisturise the hair cuticle while polishing the hair surface, creating a lightweight, protective barrier.

The multi-purpose formula, which can be used on damp or dry hair, also happens to be vegan, and has a long-lasting, luxurious scent with citrus, floral, and amber notes. The oil serum is said to deliver ‘silk-like results’, with customers hailing it the ‘best ever’ after it transformed their ‘straw-like’ tresses.
Despite being pretty new to the market, Wella’s reputation for salon-quality products has seen the range rack up a number of five star reviews already. One said: “Great packaging, smells divine. One reviewer found the Miracle Oil Serum a bit heavy, especially by the end of the day, despite trying to use less product. They commented: “I think this miracle oil serum is good, and it definitely helps calm down the frizz, however I feel it is a little too heavy for my hair and at the end of the day it feels a lot greasier than it would have done without the product. I have tried using a lesser amount, but the product then doesn’t work as well. I would definitely recommend this but be prepared that you may need to wash your hair again the following day.”

The Wella Miracle Oil Serum is also on offer, along with the rest of the range. The smaller 30ml bottle of the serum – ideal for getting acquainted with the product – is usually £22 but is down to £17, while the larger 100ml bottle is £35.60 (20% off its usual £44 price tag).
The shampoo, conditioner and hair mask are also reduced, coming in at £18.52, £20.60 and £24.20 respectively.
