The Black Friday sales may have finished but not all discounts have – we’ve spotted an iPhone 16 deal this Cyber Monday that beats Apple’s own proce
Black Friday may be over but as Cyber Monday gets underway we’ve found a deal for all eager iPhone 16 shoppers, as Very beats Apple’s own price. The retailer has reduced the 2024 flagship iOS smartphone to an all new low price.
If you thought you missed out on Black Friday this year don’t fret as this week’s Cyber Monday deals – which often sees existing stock cut even more in price – offers the chance to get a discount. Those looking to upgrade to the shiny new iPhone 16 can save £30 at Very as the model is cut from £799 to £769 – you can buy the deal here.
Apple price drops are rare to find, especially from its own store, so while £30 seems small for some it’s a win for those looking to get their hands on the new iOS model, be it for themselves or a fancy Christmas present. Matched by Amazon and John Lewis too this it also beats tech retailer Currys who’s offering it for £779 upfront…shows the perks of shopping around.

The new £769 price at Very is only available on the standard 128GB iPhone 16 model in Black, and of course shoppers should remember that this doesn’t come bundled in with any data or SIM plan – so you’d have to get that separately on top.
Very has reduced the price of the Apple iPhone 16 by £30 – as the model drops from £799 to £769. It’s a small discount compared to rival Samsung’s offer but currently one of the cheapest price you will pay upfront for the 2024 flagship iOS model.
With only a few hours to go until Very cuts its Black Friday offers the deal seems to be flying off the online store, showing as ‘in-demand’ and ‘trending now’ more than 54 shoppers have bought it in the last 24 hours alone. It comes as Very puts a warning to money-saving shoppers to its site saying: “Black Friday is ending”, as the sale ends in 11 hours and 49 minutes time (at time of writing) – that’s 11:59 pm tonight, Monday, December 2.
If you’re keen to snap up the discount on the iPhone 16 but don’t fancy opting for the plain Black colour then Amazon would be your best bet over Verys discount – as the Prime retailer matches the same £769 price on more options. Amazon shoppers can currently pick up the same 128GB model with the saving in pink and ultramarine too.
Over at John Lewis as the cheaper price is only available on the ultramarine colour device, while the other colours can be bought for a £20 discount instead. All deals we’ve picked out above are on the mobile only, and you’ll need to the £769 in your bank ready to pay upfront.
For those who prefer to split the cost of their smartphones then the likes of Sky Mobile are a go-to choice – breaking down the cost per month and adding in a bundled SIM deal too. Prices for the mobile start at £25 per month and data can be added on top (with its current 50% off data plan deal) – however, shoppers will want to remember that the device contract is for a full 36-months so it’s a long commitment.
“The new iPhone and iPhone 16 Plus come packed with useful upgrades including a supremely powerful A18 processor which leaves its Android rivals for dust. This chip makes the iPhone 16 a perfect tool for photo and video editing along with providing a great way to game on the move”, were the words from Tech Editor Dave Snelling as he first tried out Apple’s newest mobile.
Pointing out some of his top-rated new additions, the bigger battery, faster wireless charging and of course the upcoming Apple Intelligence update made the list. However, there were some gripes pointed out.
Highlighting one thing he ‘wasn’t so keen on’ Dave said in his review: “The display is excellent but it’s also our biggest gripe about the iPhone 16 as it still only offers a measly 60Hz refresh rate. If you’ve ever used the iPhone Pro’s ProMotion display you’ll know what a difference this 120Hz technology makes when flicking through content, whizzing around websites or scrolling through your apps.”
You can read all about the first impressions of the iPhone 16 here. If you’re on the look for a bigger mobile discount in time for Christmas then swapping for an Android model will bring you a bigger saving – it only takes a quick look at Samsung’s £200 off the Galaxy S24 model to see.
