Molly-Mae Hague often shares her top beauty finds with her social media followers, and one company admitted they were shocked – but not surprised – by the former Love Islander’s comments
Fans of Molly-Mae Hague often take to the star’s social media in search for her beauty tips.
The 25-year-old influencer recently shared her beauty regime with her fans on her popular YouTube vlog. She revealed she is “shower product obsessed” and shared her excitement at finding a new product to adore to add to her skincare routine. Explaining her favourite scent, she revealed she is now “hooked” on the shower gel and highlight the refillable and recyclable product.
Her high praise continued: “If you guys could smell this through the camera, I really wish you could. It is one of the best shower gels I have ever smelled.” Molly-Mae, who insisted her initial praise was in no way an ad, went on to share the product on her Instagram Stories.
Now, after being shocked – and elated – to hear Molly-Mae’s thoughts on her channel, the company behind the product has spoken about what makes them so unique. In 2023, Wild introduced what it called a “game-changing innovation”; plastic-free, compostable body wash refill.
“Molly Mae is a self-care enthusiast as we can see by her content online, so it is no surprise she is enjoying Wild,” the company’s Head of Global Influencer, Laura Donadio said. “It is a planet-friendly way to shower and is kind to the skin,” she revealed.
Laura explained their product is “unique because it eradicates the need to ever have single-use plastic in your shower again”. She added: “It’s the formula that gets you hooked.”
Speaking of the surprise update from Molly-Mae, Laura revealed the initial linkup wasn’t sponsored, leaving the company with no idea how the mum-of-one would react. And it’s not just Molly-Mae who is enjoying the product. Laura added: “We recently worked with the wonderful Stacey Solomon, who in fact created her very own limited edition scent, which went down a treat!”
Molly-Mae is no stranger from sharing her beauty regime on her socials. From her go-to lip balm brand, to her favourite body creams, she often shares her top picks with her followers.
Recently, she has launched her own fashion brand after being a part of PrettyLittleThing as creative director following her Love Island stint. Her own label, Maebe, was in the works years before she left the company.
Writing to her subscribers who signed up for website updates prior to its launch, she wrote: “Welcome to Maebe. I’m so excited to welcome you to what has been a dream of mine for the last two years. Now you are here, you will be the first to know about launch details and more.” And it seems Molly-Mae’s aspirations of her own label began soon after she split ways with Pretty Little Thing. Two years ago, September 2022, Molly-Mae was one year into her PLT venture and months away from announcing her departure.
