I’ve been having an early look at some of this year’s best beauty advent calendars, and Molton Brown’s is a total treat for anyone who loves luxury products – here’s why
If you’re thinking about buying a beauty advent calendar this year, whether for yourself or for someone else, we’ve been busy reviewing some of the best ones that have already gone on sale this year, from Charlotte Tilbury to Liberty. And if you’re after a brilliant failsafe option with a genuinely luxurious – and luxuriously scented – treat behind every door, Molton Brown’s gets my vote.
The Molton Brown 2025 Advent Calendar is now on sale, and it’s the one my mum, mother-in-law and sister fight over receiving every year – and this year looks set to be no exception. Molton Brown products add a spa-like experience to any home, and this calendar contains 24 of them, from shower gels and body lotions to perfumes and candles.
Like most beauty advent calendars, there’s also a huge saving inside too; the calendar costs £230 to buy but the contents inside are worth £332, saving you over £100. Here’s why it’s one I would buy this year…

What is the Molton Brown 2025 advent calendar packaging like?
In a chic mushroom colour and a gold leaf design, Molton Brown’s calendar strikes the perfect balance between festive and classy. It will look super-luxe stood on your dressing table or counter throughout December, and doesn’t look too ‘young’ either.
Inside, the 24 drawers are sturdy enough to make the box able to be reused afterwards, if you don’t mind the Molton Brown branding on the doors.
What’s inside the Molton Brown 2025 advent calendar?
Of course, what most important is what’s inside, and this certainly doesn’t disappoint here. While a lot of the same types of products – namely shower gels, body lotions, hand creams and fragrances, it’s all stuff you’ll use, and an excellent way to enjoy some of Molton Brown’s best-loved scents, including Delicious Rhubarb & Rose, Fiery Pink Pepper and Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel.
Everything’s travel-size, but I don’t mind this as they’re genuinely products that you would travel with (I’ve always got a mini hand cream and perfume spray in my handbag), or perhaps leave out in a bathroom for guests to use. And the candle behind door 24, while small in size, certainly packs a punch with its scent.
The only gift that I found slightly underwhelming to open is the fragrance travel case, as it can’t be used on its own – although handy for neatly housing all the fragrances you’ll open later.

Is the Molton Brown 2025 advent calendar worth it?
Molton Brown’s doesn’t give you the biggest saving out of all the calendars we’ve seen so far (that accolade probably goes to one such as Liberty’s or Boots’), but what you are getting instead is 24 really lovely, luxurious products that everyone will love, and feel like like genuine expensive treats every day.
If you want to buy an advent calendar for the person who has everything or someone but aren’t sure exactly what brand or products they use or what their skin type is, say, this one gets my vote.
