More Card members can now earn points with over 300 participating brands including eBay, Very, Just Eat, Expedia and ASOS
Morrisons is expanding its More Card loyalty scheme and it means shoppers can earn more points. The supermarket is launching More Partner Points for when customers shop with certain retailers.
More Card members can earn points with over 300 participating brands including eBay, Very, Just Eat, Expedia and ASOS. You can access More Partner Points by logging into the Morrisons More App or the More website to browse, then clicking through to a retailer.
You More Points are then tracked and added to your Morrisons account automatically. All purchases must be made through the Morrisons More App or website for points to be awarded.
The new feature is digital-only and available to all registered More Card customers. Morrisons More members earn five More points on products when they scan their card in-store or online.
Once a customer has reached 5,000 points, they receive a Morrisons Fiver. This is worth £5 which can be redeemed on a future shop, in-store or online. Morrisons More also offers personalised discounts for shoppers.
Kate Lavery, Loyalty Director, Morrisons, said: “We’re always looking for ways to make the Loyalty scheme even more rewarding. More Partner Points means our customers can now collect More Points on their everyday purchases beyond the weekly shop – whether they’re buying clothes, gifts, or booking a holiday. It’s another step towards helping customers save more, more often.”
But in not-so-good news, Morrisons has axed two of its loyalty scheme offers – leaving shoppers furious. The supermarket previously ran Fish Fridays and Steak Saturdays promotions which gave More Card customers 20% off fish and steak from its Market Street counters.
However, these offers have recently been pulled – with Morrisons adding 125 fish and steak products to its three for £10 deal instead. Shoppers have been reacting to the news on social media.
One person commented on Morrisons’ Facebook page: “You have finished with 20% off the fish Friday and Steak Saturday not happy.”
In a separate Reddit post, another said: “Are Morrisons stopping the 20% Fish Fridays and Steak Saturdays? Manager last week told me they were stopping it, offers no longer showing on the app!”
A spokesperson from Morrisons told The Sun: “Market street is an important part of Morrisons and we are working hard to maintain what customers really want, modernising our proposition and maintaining what is in our DNA as a company.”
It comes after Morrisons announced it is closing 17 of its smaller Morrisons Daily stores, 35 meat counters, along with 35 of its fish counters. The supermarket is also getting rid of 52 in-store cafes, all 18 of its Market Kitchens, 13 florists and four pharmacies.
