Shoppers say the trousers are “really flattering” and have been so impressed they’ve “bought in both black and navy”
With spring here and Easter holiday on the way, many fashion-fans are looking to re-vamp their wardrobe to prepare for the upcoming warmer weather. Marks and Spencer (M&S) has a brand new spring/summer 2025 collection out that is packed with “stylish”, “flattering” and “comfortable” essentials.
One garment getting plenty of attention is the high-street store’s £29.50 M&S Collection Wide-Leg Trousers. They have been a huge hit with customers, attracting as many as over 1,000 five-star reviews.
Jane admitted she is buying her second pair, writing: “Wanted the navy with Spring arriving. They are just great and very comfortable to wear!” Elora added: “Love these trousers – crease free fabric, concealed deep side pockets. Great fit.” Yuleh put: “Great quality, great fit. Can be dressed up with heels or down for trainers.”
Another said: “Wanted nice smart trousers, these fitted the bill as well as being very comfortable.” One more commented: “Gorgeous pair of trousers. High-waisted, wide legs, pockets and a bit of stretch too. So comfy! True to size. Shame there are only 2 colours so far! Recommend” TM added: “Very versatile, good material and extremely comfortable.”
The £29.50 M&S Collection Wide-Leg Trousers are “smart” and “comfortable”, with their “pull-on” design making them a true wardrobe essential. The trousers feature an “on-trend” cut in a wide-leg shape that is currently ‘style of the season’.
There are five different lengths to choose from—extra short, short, regular, long, and extra long. Sizes start from a UK six and go up to a 24. Two colours are available: dark navy and black, which are some of the best ‘neutral’ colours to keep in your wardrobe as they go with almost anything.
The £29.50 M&S Collection Wide Leg Trousers feature a “flattering” elasticated high waist, ideal for comfort and covering any problem areas or bloating. They have concealed pockets at the side and a crisp crease down the front for a sleek finish.
The Wide-Leg Trousers are 63% polyester, 33% viscose, and 4% elastane (excluding trimmings). For care, M&S recommends washing on a delicate cycle at 40C and avoiding tumble drying. Iron at a medium temperature or take them to the dry cleaners.
Despite the sea of positive reviews, some shoppers experienced a couple of issues with the £29.50 M&S Collection Wide-Leg Trousers. Sandy said: “Very nice trousers but not for me, I am a small person in height and these type of trousers buried me. Way to long even the extra short.”
Another said: “I personally don’t love elasticated waist,” adding: “[It] makes the product slightly cheaper.” A third said: ” Perhaps a little bulky around the waist.” Libeth put: “I found the material to be flimsy and uncomfortable.”
