Marks and Spencer has released three new items of matching clothing and customers have gone wild for them, with some saying they’ remind them of a classic film
Marks and Spencer’s has dazzled shoppers with a video unveiling its chicest co-ord yet. Rising to the forefront of high-street style, the store’s latest offering includes three matching pieces that have sent shoppers into a frenzy.
Some have been quick to liken the ensemble to an outfit worthy of Julia Roberts’ iconic character, Vivian Ward, in Pretty Woman. Others are praising Marks and Spencer’s for “stepping up” its game, calling the co-ord “unreal”.
Touted as the “co-ord of the season” on TikTok, the viral clip showcases Marks and Spencer’s Tailored Single Breasted Longline Waistcoat (£45), Tailored Collarless Blazer (£69), and the effortlessly chic Woven Pleat Front Wide Leg Trousers (£39.50). Having garnered over 144k views, the comment section is awash with commendations, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Han replied: “It’s giving pretty woman in the best way.” Taylor said: “M&S is stepping up and as a 36 year old millennial, I’m here for every minute of it.” Lily was seen asking a pal just how “unreal” the outfit looked while Lucezena said: “I actually rate M&S.”
Available in a shade of pale yellow – ideal for spring – the £69 Tailored Collarless Blazer is flying off virtual shelves. It is available in sizes ranging from UK six to UK 24 – though stocks are dwindling swiftly.
Marks and Spencer says: “Complete your weekday wardrobe with this smart blazer. Designed in a comfortable regular fit, it offers easy layering for work or beyond. The streamlined shape and single-button fastening ensure a sleek, modern silhouette.”
The newly launched blazer is already making waves with a 4.2-star rating out of five from early reviews. One shopper gushed: “This jacket is a beautiful colour, buttercream would be how I describe it.”
They continued to praise its comfort and style, adding: “It is comfortable with slight stretch, has lovely detail on the back and the lining is robust, cotton I think. Anyway I love it and it is true to size. I bought the waistcoat to go under it, I like it so much. Collarless is good for me because collars irritate me sometimes. Very, very stylish.”
Another customer was equally impressed, writing: “I was really delighted with this jacket. It is quite a small fit but has a little belt with buttons at the back which can be undone to create a wider fit. The colour is lovely and it looks great with black or navy trousers or jeans for a more casual style and matching tops.
“I like the fact is has no collar and is a good length. It’s a spring/summer jacket so isn’t too thick but I wouldn’t want bit thicker for warm weather wear.” A third reviewer highlighted the rarity of the shade, commenting: “Finding anything with this shade of pale yellow is hard, and the colour is really beautiful. The fit is perfect. I’m usually between size 6-8 and I’m small chested so the fit works perfectly.”
However, they did note a downside: “The material is thinner than you’d expect for £69, for me it only works on warmer spring days.” Meanwhile, another buyer mentioned that the blazer “runs small”.
Tailored Single Breasted Longline Waistcoat, retailing at £45, boasts a wool-look fabric that gives it a “premium” feel. It’s cut in a tailored fit to ensure a sharp silhouette and includes added stretch for extra comfort.
The waistcoat’s modern appeal is enhanced by its sleek, collarless design, complete with a single button fastening at the front and a contemporary longline shape. Shoppers have been quick to praise the piece, with one review saying: “Lovely got the trousers to match nice light weight nice fit great price great colour.”
Another customer was equally impressed, commenting: “This is lovely! The colour is a buttercream, very soft and flattering. I will wear this in summer on its own and in colder spring with the jacket -so nice. True to size, slight stretch, comfortable with lovely detail on the back.”
A third shopper compared it favourably to more expensive alternatives: “Loving this waistcoat, suffice to say it’s very reminiscent of a higher priced version!” However, not all feedback was positive, as one buyer noted: “Absolutely loved this one. Unfortunately with the trousers being see through I had to return it as you cannot wear it woth any other colour. Lovely fit and quality though.”
Lastly, the Woven Pleat Front Wide Leg Trousers, priced at £39.50, are flying off the shelves too, with most sizes either sold out or in limited stock. For those looking for something similar, Marks and Spencer offers an alternative with its Cotton Rich Palazzo Trousers, available in three colours, including a pale yellow shade, across three lengths and a range of sizes.
