Estelle Keeber spent Christmas Day in her birthday suit
A mum decided to ditch all of her clothes for Christmas Day as she revealed the health benefits behind it. Leicester mother-of-two Estelle Keeber chose to celebrate the big day in her birthday suit.
“There’s no better time to embrace change,” Estelle, 41, claimed. She said she found joy in body confidence and making personal happiness a priority over societal expectations.
“Christmas doesn’t have to be about outdated traditions any more,” she said. “It’s amazing to see people doing what makes them happy rather than conforming to societal norms.” Yet, it wasn’t total nudity all over Christmas.
Prior to December 25th, Estelle conceded that a nude appearance at the family feast might be too much for some relatives. She said: “as much as I’d love to spend the whole day naked, I don’t think my dad’s heart could take it if I showed up nude for Christmas dinner.
“But as soon as I’m home, the only thing I’ll be wearing is a Santa hat and a smile.” Estelle’s family supported her during parts of her day as a nudist, though they remained clothed. “My family is supportive but not as comfortable with nudism as I am,” she confessed.
Despite this, Estelle has already indulged in her “naked fix”, enjoying a festive spa day at the local Clover Hotel and Spa with a pal, reports Wales Online. She added: “I love when people ask me about nudism.
“There’s still so much stigma. Most people think nudism is for old, pervy men, but the demographics are actually really surprising. I think a lot of people are surprised when I tell them I’m a nudist.
“Once I start talking about all the benefits – body image, confidence, mental health, and how the media distorts how we view ourselves – people take it more seriously. That’s why it’s so important for me to share my experiences.”
Her candidness has encouraged others to consider nudism, with Estelle revealing: “Last week, my inbox was flooded with messages from women who’d read about my journey. Many want to join me at my next event, even though they’ve never done anything like it before. That’s the beautiful butterfly effect of letting people into my world.”
Estelle has a plan for those unexpected drop-ins. “As much as I love being nude, I am not an exhibitionist,” she insists. “It’s important that people realise there is a difference.
“I enjoy being naked because of how it makes me feel, not because of the reaction I get from other people. Luckily, I have a small group of friends who enjoy being naked as much as I do, so I don’t have to scare my ‘clothed friends’ with naked expectations.”
She added: “I’ve got even bigger plans. I’m doing my first naked ramble and exploring new nudist beaches.”
She then concluded by saying: “This year has shown me I’m braver than I thought. Life is short, so embrace every day. Our bodies have taken us this far – it’s time to show them some love!”
