Stephanie Watson, 34, from Scotland, launched a brutal attack against Kirsty McKay outside of her property. She has been slapped with a 10-year jail sentence following the fight
A mum who scammed a clinic to pay for her designer vagina has landed herself in jail after she attacked a woman with a Buckfast bottle.
Stephanie Watson, 34, who previously admitted to paying for the £7,000 operation with fake credit cards, was sentenced to 10 months in prison for her latest crime. She pounced at Kirsty McKay outside her home in Scotland.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard how Watson repeatedly hit her with the tonic wine bottle until she was left with a 3cm laceration, with blood gushing from it. The pair brawled outside of the property in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, in September last year. Watson admitted assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement after the victim was left with severe bruising.
Sheriff Mungo Bovey KC said there was no alternative to a custodial sentence due to her lengthy criminal record. Depute fiscal Sinead Corrigan told the court: “As the complainer approached the house of the accused, the accused exited the block of flats and walked towards both the complainer and another woman.
“The accused brought her arm to the front holding a bottle of Buckfast and she swung her right arm with the bottle to the face of the complainer causing a laceration with blood pouring out of it instantly but the bottle did not smash.
“She continued to hit her to the head and body seven or eight times causing pain and bruising. A struggle then ensued with the complainer attempting to defend herself but the accused then grabbed the complainer, resulting in both having a struggle on a grass area before the accused got up and walked in the direction of her property.”
The court heard police were called and McKay taken to hospital for treatment where medics said she would have permanent scarring. Tony Linden, defending, said: “There had been an issue between my client and the complainer’s daughter. Her main drive is to get back into the community and get back to work in a beauty salon which is owned by a friend.”
Sheriff Bovey said: “You have previous convictions for offences involving knives and there is an element of premeditation about what happened here and the complainer was left with a permanent scar on her face. The outcome would have been very different had you gone empty-handed to this confrontation.”
In another case, she admitted going on a £5,000 spending spree with bogus credit cards across Lanarkshire including booking an engagement party at a venue owned by ex-Celtic star Harry Hood. She also forked out on a new engine and repairs for her BMW, which had a customised registration spelling out ‘B****’, at a cost of £4,620.
