With Valentine’s Day coming up, a lot of people will be thinking about proposing to their other half.
And one man has showed that you don’t have to break the bank when getting betrothed to your other half – as he only spent £1 on the engagement ring.
Henry proposed to his other half Ellenor on Budleigh Salterton beach in South Devon with a silver ring from Poundland. And luckily for him, she said yes!
The pair’s engagement was revealed on Poundland’s Instagram account where Henry was seen down on one knee as he popped the question to Eleanor. The couple were seen smiling enthusiastically as they held hands in front of the ocean.
And inset snap showed the ring in question, which comes as a silver band and with a red jewel in a red, velvet display box.
The post was captioned: “They knew at first sight. A huge congratulations to Ellenor and Henry on their beautiful engagement at Budleigh Salterton
beach!”
Ellenor shared: “We always said we’d save the money for the wedding, so I thought he was joking when he gave me a Poundland ring!”
People were loving the proposal, as the post racked up hundreds of likes. Many congratulated the couple, while someone cheekily tagged their pals in the post and wrote: “No excuse now.”
Poundland re-launched their £1 engagement ring earlier this month ahead of Valentine’s Day.
The Poundland engagement ring, which comes available in a range of different styles, is available to buy both in-store and online now.
