A woman has shared her simple hair routine that has helped transform her dry and brittle hair into long healthy locks – and it costs just under £3 to do from home
If you are yearning for long locks but find your hair just isn’t growing – you may want to give this simple hair trick a try.
Not only can it be frustrating, it can also be expensive trying to achieve Rapunzel-esque hair, but one clever beauty buff has shared a cheap trick to grow your hair out and you don’t even need to visit the hairdressers.
While many people think reducing the amount of heat on your hair, our dousing it in oil is the key, Emma Jean Clarke took to Instagram to show how she managed to get her brittle and damaged hair transformed in just a year.
“If you need a sign to wear a bonnet,” she wrote over the now viral video which showed her pulling off the satin cap. In the video, she shared her hair looking dry and damaged, but as the video went on, she revealed how the satin bonnet had helped her recover her locks making it unrecognisable.
Now with enviable shiny and thick blonde hair, Emma captioned the video: “The difference less than a year can make.” The video has racked up 13.3 million views and over 200,000 likes. Fans were quick to comment on the video praising the use of a bonnet, as one person said: “I started wearing a bonnet when I bleached my hair and I swear it’s made my hair healthier than ever!”
While a second said: “Facts babe so worth the weird looks from boyfriend.” A third chimed: “This is so interesting because I have blonde hair as well and I’ve been taking care of my hair but I see a lot of breakage when I wake up in the mornings maybe I need to try this too.” You can buy satin bonnets from Amazon for just £2.95 or from Superdrug for just £9.99.
It comes after a woman shared her secret trick to long hair that came from her grandmother. TikTok user named @melodyyaslan insists her grandmother unlocked the secret to rapid hair growth using an obscure ingredient. “If your grandma never taught you how to achieve rapid hair growth, let me tell you my Slavic grandma’s secret,” Melody enthused.
She then shared a snap of her great-grandmother’s waist-length hair at 60 years old, adding that her 80 year old grandmother currently sports similar tresses. “This plant blocks the enzyme that causes hair loss, it detoxes your scalp, and strengthens hair follicles.” According to Melody, the magic ingredient is stinging nettle, revealing: “The secret is nettle shampoo.”
