Nacka ferry crash LIVE: Passenger boat with 150 people on board smashes into quay

Police open criminal investigation into negligence

Stockholm Police have issued an update on the crash in Nacka this morning.

They said: “A passenger ferry with approximately 150 passengers on board has crashed into a quay on Nacka beach. 3-4 people are slightly injured.

“The police are on site with several patrols including the maritime police.”

In a later update, they added: “A total of five people with minor injuries were taken to hospital for treatment by ambulance.

“The police have opened a criminal investigation into negligence in maritime traffic and causing bodily harm.”
