If you’re looking to treat yourself to a new face cream, this new launch is already drawing praise from shoppers, with some even comparing it to formulas five times the price
The link between sleep and skin health – and, therefore, how it looks – is now more recognised than ever, which is where using one of the best night creams can help. Skincare brand Vichy has just extended its popular Mineral 89 line with the launch of its new Mineral 89 Moisture Recovery Night Cream with Melatonin, which is designed enhance the skin’s natural nighttime rejuvenation process – and shoppers are already wowed by its results.
What marks this new night cream as different from others is that it contains melatonin in its nourishing formula, a supplement known to help to not only regulate sleep cycles but also support skin recovery. This moisturiser also contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin B3 and a relaxing, sleep-enhancing scent – and all for £20.25 at the moment, reduced by 25% at Boots at the moment down from its usual RRP of £27.

Vichy’s dermatologists state that the purpose of this Mineral 89 cream is designed to leave skin feeling refreshed and appearing smoother by morning, and in their clinical studies, 94% of participants observed an improvement in overall skin appearance, and 89% agreed their skin appeared more rested and felt renewed after one night’s use.
What are perhaps more impressive, however, are some of the customer reviews, including one from a Boots shopper who calls in “phenomenal”.
“I don’t normally write reviews often but oh my god this night moisturiser deserves a review!” they wrote. “A beautiful blue mousse-like texture that glides onto to the skin like cashmere!”
They go on to say that they find that it compares to more luxury products more than five times the price: “I have used many high end moisturisers in the past (Elemis and La Mer) and this product heavily resembles the Elemis Ultra Smart Aqua Infusion Mask which sells by Elemis for £130, and this is an incredible alternative especially for the price and benefits, I look 10 years younger! Super happy with this product!”

Another review reads: “I have only just started using this face cream, my skin does feel hydrated. It goes into the skin well and the smell is quite nice too.”
A third, meanwhile, suggests that it would be good for different skin types – even sensitive ones: “So I’ve been using this moisturiser recently, I am in my mid 40s, have an oily T-zone and dry skin. It’s a lovely moisturiser blends easily into the skin, it’s fragrance free and does not irritate my skin.” if your skin is very sensitive to fragrance though, you may want to opt for something fragrance-free instead, such as Aveeno Face Calm + Restore Rehydrating Night Cream, currently down to £8.70.
We also think that it pairs perfectly with Vichy Minéral 89 Hyaluronic Acid Daily Hydrating Booster Serum, now £26.25, which is a real favourite of our team’s.
And if your neck, throat and décolletage is more of a concern, BOOST Lab’s Neck Firming Serum, £24.99, is proving to be super popular, including with TV and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon.
