New CCTV video in search for woman missing since leaving hospital two weeks ago

By staff5 October 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Kent Police have renewed their appeal to find Helen Eade, who has been missing from Maidstone for more than two weeks, and have released new CCTV footage of the 59-year-old woman

Police have issued CCTV footage in the search for a woman who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Helen Eade, 59, was reported missing after leaving Maidstone Hospital on September 16. Kent Police said the woman doesn’t drive and, following enquiries, officers established she made a return bus journey from the hospital to Pembury.

However, on the way back she got off the bus in Wateringbury, the force said. Detective Sergeant Angela Holder said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Helen’s welfare and are particularly keen for any information which will help track her movements in Wateringbury, between 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday 16 September.

“We are urging drivers and residents to check dashcams, doorbell cameras and CCTV for any sightings and are particularly interested in routes that Helen may have taken in and around Bow Road and near to the train station. We are also asking people who may have been in Teston Country Park to see if they recognise Helen from these images.”

Kent Police officers confirmed a later sighting of Helen following CCTV enquiries. The force said the last sighting of Helen was at 9.22am on September 28, when she was seen in a coffee shop inside Maidstone East train station.

Helen is described as white, around 5ft 9in, of slim build and has blue eyes and short brown hair. She was wearing pink jogging bottoms, a grey hooded top and a black Parka style jacket with a fur hood when she was last seen.

Anyone with critical information on her whereabouts has been asked to call 999 quoting 16-0917. Any other information can be reported via 101 or you can use the Live Chat function on Kent Police’s website.
