Part of the excitement about preparing for a new term at university is putting together everything you need, and one essential you’ll not get through your new year without is a great bag. With laptops, books, food and everything else you might need to carry on your day to day, a backpack is generally your best option.

But if you usually find backpacks don’t suit your style, New Look has just launched the perfect designer lookalike for under £30. The Black Faux Leather Multi-Pocket School Backpack is £29.99 and is spacious enough for all of your essentials, without losing its luxe-looking style.

The high street backpack also looks just like Miu Miu’s Leather Backpack which retails for a much pricier £2450, so you’re guaranteed a designer look without splashing your budget in one go. As well as being ideal for uni, the New Look Multi-Pocket Backpack is also great for heading to the office, or even as an overnight back if you’re not one for overpacking.

It measures 33cm high, 29.5cm wide and 14cm deep giving you plenty of space for laptops and tablets, not to mention any other bits and bobs you need to carry with you. It also has plenty of handy pockets which make it easy to keep things organised, and keeps your keys, wallet or phone handy.

As well as the classic backpack straps, the Multi-Pocket Backpack also comes with a cross body strap, giving you plenty of options on how to style it and carry it. It’s made from faux leather, as opposed to real leather like the Miu Miu one, but features a similar wide shape with a buckled top flap and front pockets.

Despite its faux leather material one New Look shopper praised it as: “Great size and shape, excellent quality” and gave it a five star rating. If you would prefer real leather, the Kiev Smooth Leather Laptop Backpack is a great choice, priced at £180 at featuring a large structured design that promises plenty of room for all your things.

Accessorize also has a Suede Leather Backpack for £65 which is a slightly smaller size and is made from real leather and suede. It has adjustable shoulder straps and two zip fastenings on both compartments keeping things extra secure.

Meanwhile New Look’s Multi-Pocket Backpack has one large compartment that fastens with a drawstring, and a top flap which fastens with a buckle to keep it secure. There’s also two large front pockets, which are also buckle closure, with elasticated side pockets which are great for storing things like your water bottle.
