‘New neighbours asked for my number and I was appalled by what they sent’

By staff1 October 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

A woman was left gobsmacked after her new neighbours moved in, saying she prefers to keep herself to herself, but when they asked for her number in case of emergency, she obliged

A woman was left mortified at what her neighbours sent to her when she gave them her number “in case of emergencies”. It’s nice to be neighbourly and to wave when you see those who live close to you, but sometimes, you may live to regret getting a little too close to those next door.

TikTok user @kel19740000 explained in an online video that she had some “new neighbours” move into a one-bedroom flat next door, explaining that it was a couple, and the woman was “pregnant and she’s already got one”. She explained that she didn’t want any “drama” in her life, so she tries not to get too close to new people.

She explained that she prefers to “ignore people,” saying a simple “hello and goodbye” saying she’s not “all about the neighbours in and out [of] the house and all that stuff”.

“I just wanna be left in peace,” she explained. Anyway, that wish did not come true with the new neighbours, as soon as she saw them, her thought was “oh my f****** god,” and she “was right” with her preconceived ideas.

They asked her if they could have her number “in case of emergencies”. “In my head I was thinking no, no, no, no, no,” she seethed.

However, she “reluctantly” gave it to them, hoping that they wouldn’t be too bad and would just text her if absolutely necessary. But she soon lived to regret her decision.

“Guess what? They sent me d*** pics. The pair of them. The pair of them! For a threesome,” she fumed, because she couldn’t believe it.

In the comments, people were appalled. “That’s taking getting on with the neighbours to a whole new level,” one woman wrote.

Another said: “Sorry, but I’m howling!! What happened to a chat over the fence and a cuppa first?!”

“I thought she was going to ask for a cup of sugar,” someone joked.

A TikTok user penned: “Well, that took a turn! I thought it was going to be a usual ‘can we borrow this, can you lend us £20’ scenario”.

A man suggested she reply: “Is that it? It’s not worth the effort,” and @kel19740000 replied with crying with laughter emojis.

While it may be amusing to some, cyberflashing is actually a criminal offence.

On the police website, they state: “Cyberflashing is when someone sends you a photo of genitals without your permission. It is sometimes called ‘d*** pics’ or ‘flashing’. It is illegal to do this. They might do it to cause you distress or to embarrass you. It could also be for their own sexual pleasure without caring about how it makes you feel.

“It doesn’t matter if the photo shows a person’s real genitals, or if the photo has been computer-generated to look like someone’s genitals. Cyberflashing can happen to anyone. It is never your fault, and you are not to blame. It happens both online and offline”.

She’s not the only one with unusual neighbours either, as one man posted on Reddit explaining his awkward predicament.

The baffled man took to Reddit’s ‘Neighbours From Hell’ forum to share that he’d installed the Ring floodlight camera behind his garage to assist him in riding his motorbike “into the garage at night.”

However, he ended up capturing more than he anticipated on the camera when he unintentionally filmed the “old guy peeing” against his gate. “I thought maybe he was unwell and just caught short and let it slide,” he explained.

But just two hours later, he was “back doing it again” in the same spot. This time, however, the disgruntled resident decided to “turn on the siren” and told the elderly man “to do one” through the speaker system.

It wasn’t long before the man recognised him as his neighbour who “lives down the road.”

But things took an even stranger turn when he went to inspect the fence. He described the wood as “very stained,” leading him to wonder if this peculiar behaviour had been “going on for months or years”. “So has this bloke got some weird compulsion?” he pondered.

He penned: “It feels really creepy and a bit like deviant behaviour. There is a public park behind the service road, so you wonder if there is some risk thrill side to this? He also seems to unzip long before he gets to the spot”. Yikes.
