Newsboy’s horseracing tips for Friday’s six meetings, including Hamilton Nap

Newsboy fancies his nap, Khuskhas, to win at Hamilton and also hopes Arabian Force can score on the same card and complete his Daily Double

KHUSKHAS looks well treated for her debut in the sphere as she takes on six opponents for the Hampton By Hilton Hotel Hamilton Park Nursery Handicap (6.00) to the south east of Glasgow on Friday evening.

It was hard to get carried away with the Kevin Philippart de Foy-saddled filly’s racecourse debut at Chelmsford City at the start of June – Khuskhas beat just two opponents home.

But she took a big step forward from that first start in a six-furlong fillies’ maiden at Great Yarmouth 22 days later. The market didn’t fancy the daughter of Palace Pier’s chances – Khuskhas went offa t 33-1 in a field of 12 – but she laughed at those odds with a strong-finishing three-quarter-length beating of Azleet. The Stuart Williams-trained runner-up did the form a favour with a subsequent win at Southwell, so Jason Hart’s mount features on an attractive mark of 71 as she starts life in handicaps.

Later on the Hamilton card, ARABIAN FORCE is taken to upset favourite Nahraan in the Listed British Stallion Studs EBF Glasgow Stakes (7.10). William Haggas’s three-year-old couldn’t get involved when seventh to Trinity College in the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes over a mile and a quarter at Royal Ascot last month. But the ease in grade and additional furlong should enable Cieren Fallon’s partner to show his true colours.
