Farage complains that his beloved political project Brexit hasn’t worked out
Mr Farage complains that his beloved political project Brexit hasn’t worked out in the way he thought. He criticises the “great betrayal” of people having voted for Brexit believing it would cut regulation, but that that hasn’t materialised.
He tells small business owners: “I can tell you, a decade on almost from the referendum, that in every single industry, from financial services to fisheries, the burden of regulation, the threat of the regulator is worse now than it was then. In fact, I know many businesses literally live in fear of the inspector walking through the door.”
