A manhunt is underway after a shooting in which six people were injured, with one left fighting for their life in hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the Pissevin district of Nîmes, which is notorious for drug crime, on Friday, with the the shooting having broken out on Passage Avogrado.
Six people who were hit by bullets have been taken to hospital and police have said one is in a serious condition. An investigation for attempted murder has been launched with the gunmen on the loose.
