Ninja Airfryer that ‘costs 36p to run’ and shoppers ‘can’t live without’ reduced in spring sale

By staff18 March 2025No Comments4 Mins Read

Ninja has launched a spring sale, and it includes models which only cost pennies to run

It’s no secret that some household appliances can have a huge impact on the price we pay for energy at home, popular air fryers are now considered ‘essentials’ for many – as they help drop the cost of energy bills. As Ninja propels these devices into its spring sale, it’s no surprise to see that its speedy cooking gadgets are at the top of consumers’ shopping lists.

A recent survey of 1,000 shoppers – from the UK and America -revealed the appliances consumers can’t live without, and air fryers came out on top followed by Ninja as the ‘top appliance brand’. ‘High-end vacuums’ were the second most wanted device, as the brand Dyson was second on the list, while rivals Shark were listed in sixth place.

It comes at Ninja drops the price of a handful of popular models, including the 9.5L Double Stack that’s now £229 instead of £269.99, a £50 saving on the Foodi Max Dual Zone, and a £70 discount on the Foodi Flex Drawer model

The versatile Foodi Flex Drawer model has one of the biggest savings out of the lot, as it’s reduced to £199. This cooks different foods at once (on different functions and timers) but can also be adapted into a bigger 104L ‘MegaZone’ – taking out the divider so the two baskets merge into one big drawer.

The Ninja Foodi Flex Drawer model is favoured for households cooking more meal at once, as both of its draws can be set on different settings and timers. It has seven different cooking functions too including crisp, roast, and bake.

Anyone’s whos ever eye-up an airfryer but have been put off by their often large worktop space may be swayed by the new Ninja CRISPi. This smaller, but powerful, model is portable and uses 50% less energy than a standard oven.

Research compiled from QS Supplies shows how consumers picked the devices down to time efficiency. The most popular luxury appliances save users an average of three hours per week, or 6.5 days worth of time saved over a year. And cost only 36p to run.

The average 1500-watt air fryer model, like the Ninja AF100UK model – only costs 36p an hour to run but as the average cook time for food in these speedy worktop gadgets is between 15 to 30 minutes consumers will be paying a lot less.

The Ninja Speedi is also discounted, from £229.99 to a lesser £169.99, and stands out from other Ninja models with its deep ‘one-pot’ design. The model can make meals in 15 minutes and can cook up to four portions at once, however compared to fellow models it’s the most expensive to run – as it uses 1760 watts per hour to run, instead of the average 1500 W usage.

Coming in second was Dyson, the brand well-loved by consumers for its powerful at-home cleaning tech. Following on the spring trend, it’s also dropped its prices for shoppers. There’s up to £150 cut off, with the biggest saving found on its Dyson V15 Detect Submarine vacuum – although this is still pricey at £649…even in the sale.

A vacuum with less of a pinch to the wallet is the Dyson V8 Advanced model, £100 off in the sale. This is now available to buy for £229 – and it comes with specific ‘detangling technology’, and is said to be ideal for pet owners. This is similar to the Shark Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Pet Vacuum, a so-called rival to Dysons.

Now £299 instead of the usual £479.99, this is discounted by £180. This has a run time of 80 minutes, a feature which shoppers say they were ‘pleasantly surprised about’. As one shopper said: “I was pleasantly surprised at its suction and time battery held power. The anti-hair roll does not work as I expected it to. I still had to get a pair of scissors out.”

Another shopper said: “It steers beautifully and the flexology gadget is brilliant. However, it is an absolute pain in other ways: It is top-heavy and constantly falls over.”
