Oasis fan’s drunk decision moments after he watches band at Wembley angers wife

By staff17 October 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Alex South, a roofer, annoyed wife Keziah-Rose with the call after he had seen Oasis, one of his favourite bands, at the Wembley in northwest London last month

An Oasis fan got so drunk after watching one of the band’s gigs and ended up with a Liam and Noel-themed tattoo.

While Alex South’s decision to ink the back of his neck annoyed wife Keziah-Rose, social media users applauded the young man. Alex, who is a roofer, had the words “live forever” tattooed on his neck after the popular band’s September 28 gig at Wembley in northwest London.

The tattoo references one of Oasis’s most popular songs underneath the Adidas trefoil logo, a brand the band are commonly associated with.

Alex, from Steyning, West Sussex, wrote online: “After the last Saturday gig at Wembley I thought it was a good idea to keep drinking around London the next day. To my wife’s disappointment I came home with this tattooed on the back of my head. What a f****** prat! Oh well f*** it live forever. PS please feel free to take the p***

The roofer posted pictures of the inking alongside his words in an online Oasis fan group. His post gained more than 3,000 likes and more than 600 comments, with fellow Oasis fans expressing their support for the tattoo. That is despite wife Keziah-Rose telling Alex she was disappointed with the design.

Yet, one fan wrote: “At least they did a good job of it!” Another joked: “Let’s just hope Adidas doesn’t sue, you’re wearing a knock off head.” One fan replied to a friend: “Good job we walked ourselves sober!”

One even posted a picture showing that he’d got the same tattoo on the back of his neck. Another said: “It’s a good memory and a good story to tell! Enjoy it!”

Oasis’ comeback Live ’25 Tour was the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher played seven sold out shows at Wembley Stadium in July and August 2025, with around half a million fans estimated to have attended. The tour concludes in Brazil on 23 November.

It started in July in Cardiff, after which our correspondent Mark Jefferies expressed his delight at the Gallaghers’ “rare display of emotion” on stage. Mark wrote: “Before they had spoken or played a note, Liam and Noel linked hands and held them aloft to show their war was over and Oasis really were back. Then they let their music do the talking initially with Hello and then Acquiesce, which saw the brothers sharing vocal duties.

“The lyrics couldn’t be more timely for the comeback: ‘Because we need each other, we believe in one another’… In Cardiff the wait was finally over, and it has taken 16 years, but this is a reunion gig that will live forever in the memories of the fans who were here.”
