Noel and Liam Gallagher have made a big business move months before their eagerly anticipated Oasis tour gets underway
Fans of Oasis are counting down the days for the iconic band’s upcoming reunion tour.
But before a note has been played, the Gallagher brothers have signed another big-money deal. Noel and Liam have reportedly signed paperwork to make money from a film of their upcoming gigs, which begin in the summer. The Manchester duo registered Uprise North Limited last month, naming just themselves as directors.
And now papers which were filed just days ago to Companies House show the business will focus on “Motion Picture Production Activities”. Any footage is sure to be hot property for fans of the band.
The latest reveal comes just a month after Liam appeared to deny reports Netflix were ready to create a documentary on the eagerly anticipated reunion.
Last month, the brothers finally met in public for the first time in a decade. The pair were reportedly seen together at a London hotel. It’s said Liam was joined by his sons Lennon, 25, and Gene, 23, along for the sit-down. Both sons are enthusiastic about the Oasis comeback and have been an instrumental part in getting the musicians to bury the hatchet.
The meeting is thought to have lasted around an hour, and Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs was also present, with his guitar in hand. A few security personnel were seen in and around the venue as well, and once the meeting concluded, the brothers exited the hotel separately.
Speaking to The Sun at the time, a source said: “Their relationship is far warmer now and they’re excited to get out on the road. Gene and Lennon were both big champions of Oasis getting back together and have been seen as the peacemaker. Noel arrived at Nobu before Liam and his boys joined him in a private room.
“Bonehead [Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs] was there with his guitar too and there were a few drivers and a guard knocking around. They talked for about an hour before leaving separately.”
While fans in the UK are gearing themselves for the summer shows, the band is also taking their comeback to North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. The tour has become one of the most eagerly awaited tours in music history.
