‘Obsessed’ man ‘breastfed’ from woman, 60, to ‘get back at his mum’

Michael Jones, 32, said he developed an ‘odd fascination with the woman’s breasts’ and admitted he went after women her age ‘as a way of getting back at his mother’

An “obsessed” man was ‘breastfed’ by a 60-year-old woman as a way of ‘getting back at his mother.’

Michael Jones, 32, of Caernarfon, Wales, contacted the woman, despite being banned from seeing her, a court heard today. Jones previously assaulted the woman and had been banned from contacting her when he saw her three times over the summer, including “breastfeeding” from her.

The act ended up putting him in breach of a restraining order. A Caernarfon Crown Court judge today jailed Jones to 15 months behind bars.

Jones had pleaded guilty to wounding the woman causing grievous bodily harm without intent. He was given a 16-month jail term, suspended for 18 months for that offence.

But the court heard how Jones met the same woman three times in July. Prosecutor Amy Edwards said the woman saw Jones on a cycle path in Caernarfon and left him a bottle of water after seeing he looked “tired.”

The woman said she wanted to put an end to the relationship and for Jones to stop contacting her. She said it was a “mother and son” type relationship, while Jones called himself as a “caregiver.”

Ms Edwards said Jones told her he developed a “hatred towards women” and “an odd fascination with (this woman’s) breasts.” He also became emotional, reported NorthWalesLive.

Just a few days later they met on a cycle track again where they kissed consensually and “she allowed him to breast feed for 10 minutes.” He told her that he spoke to women of her age “as a way of getting back at his mother,” the prosecutor said.

The woman said she knew it was “strange behaviour” but that it had been part of their relationship. Only July 14, Jones rang the woman he said he was starving and asked her to come to his flat. When she did he would not let her leave, the court heard.

When she did end up leaving, she left the area for a time to stay with a friend as she was afraid of what could happen next. Jones told his probation worker about the “secret” meetings in “concealed” locations on July 28.

The probation officer then told the police. The woman then said her health had worsened due to the stress.

She said: “I know he’s obsessed with me. I know from experience that the obsession is dangerous.” Today Dafydd Roberts, defending, said Jones has a new focus because he has a girlfriend.

Mr Roberts added: “While she talks about the harm she suffered her conduct suggests she was more prepared to have this contact than she admits.”

Judge Her Honour Nicola Jones noted that the woman was “very complicit” in what was going on.

She then told the defendant he had mental health and other problems but added he breached the restraining order three times. He was then sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment.
